Should Senator Flake lose his primary to this crackpot, sensible mainstream Republicans must be willing to cross party lines and support the Democrat in order to save their party.

I just hope Ward doesn’t turn out like Trump – where many of us here were cheerleading for him to win the primary, because we thought he had no chance of winning the general, but then he did.

Flake sucks, GOP control of the Senate sucks, and all things being equal of course I want to see the GOP nominate as weak a general election candidate as possible.

But what I do not want to see is a Senator Kelli Ward.

So I’m having a hard time enjoying what ought to be a nice little helping of schadenfreude.
