Discussion: Hannity Accepts Moore's Open Letter, Says Alabama Voters Will Have To Decide

it’s Hannity’s version of leading from behind.

22 versus 14? I truly look forward to having that conversation…

@smiley “Really? As one of thousands of cases that have come before him over the years, he remembers the demeanor of one person 18 years ago?”

I’d say he might well remember her in this case. She’d had his attention before, so…yeah. This may be the only thing he’ll say that’s believable. His take on whether or not she was “distressed” is bullshit of course. How could he know her state of mind?

It is a fair point to criticize us on the left about Bill Clinton (though it is just as fair, and more relevant, to criticize the right about Trump now).

However, our being wrong 30 years ago should not to be used as cover for Conservatives present-day. Especially now that we know better.

What were “we” wrong about?

Or, why file a motion to recuse that would likely be summarily dismissed and then have the guy even more pissed off at you while he’s considering your divorce settlement?

Sounds like a grand plan to me. Hannity sets up Moore in a big show of faux concern, and Moore weakly lobs it, it being the proof of innocence, over the net. Victory! Er, sort of, if any of Moore’s supporters accept it as good enough.

Anyone see Milbank’s column today about Bernie Bernstein? Not a few commenters scolded him for writing something that will used as proof by conservatives that there really is such a person. They have no ability to detect satire or humor such as this. But even the name. It’s almost as if whoever pulled this stunt was making fun of the stupidity/gullibility of Alabama voters.

Pratchett is one of my favorite authors!

‘Moore said that it did not appear to cause Nelson “distress” in 1999 when she appeared before Moore in court.’ WTF??? It’s only on TV that a regular ol’ person stamps their feet and insists on a new judge because he harassed her years before. And DIVORCE proceedings? How long does that take? What did he do? Slap his gavel down? Hannity ‘accepts’ this BS while slow walking the ‘verification’ of the ‘maybe’ faked signature until the Judge is elected…what a freakin’ worm.

Hannity: We demand that the government respond to the theory that Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK. We’re not satisfied with that answer.
Government: Aliens from planet Newfenup did it, with help from the natives of Antartica, the Antarticans.
Hannity: Okay, now everyone needs to decide if the Aliens and Antarticans did it, or if it was Lee Harvey Oswald.

Hannity is an ass, but in fact, it is up to – or should be up to – the people of Alabama. I find it actually a little frightening to see the Republican party trying every which way to sabotage this election in order to avoid either Moore or Doug Jones. We find out now that lots of people were generally aware that Moore tried to rob the cradle, got banished from a mall, etc. He is recalcitrant and nasty, and that, apparently, was good enough to get him elected to statewide office twice, once after he had been kicked out for breaking the law. They get to show us who they are. It’s their right.

Sigh. So many on the left, faced with this huge, out of control dumpster fire, are spending their time “deconstructing” the hose and arguing over which nozzle looks like it will work the best.

It’s interesting to me that Hannity is choosing such a wrong strategy here … and mirrors the tax plan in it’s baffling wrong-headedness compared to the usual Republican political deviousness. I think they are losing and desperate and flailing—and know it. The elections in VA weren’t lost on anyone, and yet they’re going forward, even more desperate. They have a short window, which is closing quickly. I live in Richmond and I knew - when I went to vote and saw the crowds - that Gillespie was toast.

“We demanded, rightly, answers from Judge Moore,” Hannity said on his show Wednesday night. “And he provided them to the specific questions we asked.”

“1. Why are these women persecuting you?”
“2. Do you think Jesus suffered more than you are right now?”
“3. What are your plans to bring morality back to our beloved country?”

Did you expect Vladimir Posner Hannity to act in any other way than to always defend a Communist, er, Republican?

Yawn. The Kremlin held better show trials…

Here’s something that Hannity needs to get to the bottom of! A Alabama District Judge joining two monkey’s in holy matrimony!

“Miss Baker lived at the Naval Aerospace Medical Center in Pensacola, Florida until 1971. In 1962, Pensacola caretakers held a marriage ceremony to wed Miss Baker to Big George, who predeceased Miss Baker on January 8, 1979. Three months later, Miss Baker was wed to Norman, in a ceremony presided over by Alabama District Court judge Dan McCoy. She refused, however, to wear white, pulling off her wedding train moments after it was put on her.”
