Just a bit uncomfortable & bewildered …with where all of this dust-up and foolishness could end up … is the door cracked open for the OCT idiots to march, fully armed, into a Chipotle - and say “we don’t care about your stinkin company policy - you are a place of public accommodation and we have our constitutional rights” …???
and if they do … is the NRA now giving a hint that it will swallow hard and hold its nose and shriek that the constitutional rights of the OCT idiots must not be denied??
sort of - you & your little children’s sheer terror at the sight of my semi-automatic rifles swinging around on my back - do not trump my right to parade & frolic where ever I want with my semi-automatic rifles
Well, as it turned out after that first happened, it was mentioned that Chipolte serves alcohol, so they can’t go in there anyway. I wonder if these guys got word on that?
Second guy from the left wearing the Keep Texas Armed shirt likes to think he is ready for anything. He’s the image of OCT. Baseball cap with extra-curved bill, check. Vandyke beard, important for the Breaking Bad tough-guy image, check. T Shirt with an AR-15 silhouette, check. Ever ready for any threat, his finger is poised over the trigger just like those so’jers in Iraq that he saw on the news 10 years ago.
That “safety” part is the old NRA that I was a member of in the 60s when I took a marksmanship course at summer camp.
Today’s NRA is an economic and political organization dedicated to the proliferation of firearms.
I see an opportunity - for restaurants that specialize in “gun enthusiasts” (I prefer ammosexuals). Guns required, loaded, and locking is optional.
How about El Pistolero Loco, AppleB-52’s, Plunkin’ Donuts, Sub-machinegun-Way, Blood-Red Robin, Wounded Wendy’s, Marie Callender’s Kalishnakov, Bullets over Broadway, etc.
If I’m a restaurant owner, why should I assume that someone who is openly carrying a deadly weapon does not want to do me harm? Shouldn’t I take immediate steps to protect myself, by deadly force if necessary?
Today’s NRA and the NRA of 50 years ago are as different as the
