Discussion: Grassley To Blasey Ford: 'It Is Not The FBI’s Role' To Probe Your Allegations

One would think so. But then, he’s got a whole team behind him ready to write up whatever he needs, and I’m sure they are familiar with whatever these rules are, so are well ahead on that.

Another ‘nice’ example of why this shit shouldn’t be rushed. Puts the woman at a severe disadvantage.

The movement conservatives have made themselves clear: “Get Kavanaugh on the court regardless of how many seats they might lose.”

One hard right SCOTUS justice will steer the court right for at least a generation. The court can overturn any law a Dem Congress and president passes, and dismantle all the work that has been done since FDR.

I once saw a young guy in a delivery van take golf clubs out of my neighbor’s garage, stuff them in the back, and try to drive off. I stopped him for a few seconds to ask him about it, but dang, he was in a terrible hurry, and sped off.

I called company on the side of the truck (!) and got his mom (!) who was also his boss. I explained that not only was it weird that this stranger was taking stuff out of the garage, but also odd that the guy was trying to leave with such urgency. “Christ,” she said.

Clubs were returned. Harder to do that with SCOTUS judges.

I believe Ford, and I agree with her attorneys that additional FBI investigation should occur … that said, the political reality is that the Republicans (McConnell / Grassley) control the process, and if Ford wants to testify publicly before there is a vote on Kavanaugh, Monday will probably be her only opportunity.

However so? There is only one Rule in Vetting Club: Anti-abortion position. No matter how many abortions the person may have paid for or caused, or whether they previously supported abortion rights.

Naw, their vetting process works pretty slick.

Only problem is finding someone who meets that criteria who doesn’t get all rapey at times (but boys will be boys, so, y’know).

Absolutely. DiFi should be put up and asked, “Why was this not part of the normal testimony during the testimony in July?” She really needs to explain that.

Don’t feed the troll.

Quit being a troll. That’s well documented, and I’m sure even at the KGB office you work out of, they read the papers.

Gee, testimony to be on Chuck’s desk by Friday, Sept 21, 10 AM. She’s got 43 hours and change. Better get crackin’, folks.

She already did: the accuser didn’t want to come forward. Next time you nearly get raped by a man who goes on to be a major player in DC conservative politics, come back and tell us about whether you want to expose yourself to public pillorying and white supremacist death threats. Until then, maybe try listening.

Then why do you keep whining about timing? It’s well known that this is a Democratic cluster-fuck.

Moreover, why didn’t DiFi bring it up while he was in her office?

The real reason is that DiFi is senile.

Just a friendly reminder. How many “Never Trumpers” are against Kavanaugh? I can’t spot any so far. How many were against Gorsuch? Zero. Remember that when they tell you they are “Republicans with a conscience”.

Some aide to Grass wrote this because Grass himself is too busy listening to the commentary on the ground which will influence any real decisions. Piss off women of both parties or let the FBI investigate taking as long as it needs. Still no call for him to retire based on is age either.

If I were a Republican Senator I would want a complete investigation. Other nominees are available and imagine the fallout if the truth comes out on Kavanaugh. Not a cart that I want my pony hooked to!

Grassley can go straight to hell!

Republican women don’t get pissed off about things like this. They overwhelmingly voted for Trump.

How about these women, Chuck?

15 Federal Service employees, all women who work in the federal court system and are represented by Attorney Cyrus Sanai, reached out to Senator Chuck Grassley’s office to offer testimony regarding sexual misconduct while Kavanaugh was a clerk for 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Chief Judge Alex Kozinski.

Grassley refused.

You are a tiresome little man. As Sen. Hirono said: “Shut up and Step Up”. If you can’t, then Shut Up and Sit Down.
