Discussion: Grassley: Repealing O’Care Is More Important Than Whatever Replaces It

“And, Senator, if you had promised in your campaign to jump off a bridge into the middle of the Mississippi River, would you feel that you had to do it?”

And now he tells the truth

ISIS could only dream of killing as many Americans as the GOP will, if they get their way with Obamacare.

Say what you will about Jonestown, at least the Kool Aid made it quick and painless, as opposed to this clusterfuck…

One of 'em finally said it. The ads should be writing themselves.

It is not even that they are trying to have integrity by upholding a promise. They are trying to hold on to their own very cushy jobs. That is all. That is all. If any one of them votes against this they fear they will be unemployed. That is their sole reason for voting for it. Their own job. One job. There needs to be a new word to describe the depth of this shamefulness.

Shorter Grassley:

“If we don’t stick it to Blacky McBlackenstein, the base is gonna primary our asses in the midterms.”

Alas, it’s too bad that the Dems never learn how to capitalize on this stuff.

If that is the case, then repeal it and replace it with the exact same thing but with a new name.

While there are even worse Republican senators than Grassley, he has seniority in his corner: I’ve hated him for longer than any of the others – his years in the House count too.

Grassley proves, yet again, that the Repubs are against everything Obama and for nothing.

The latest news is the McConnell intends to bring the bill to the floor for a vote. “Leader’s intention” is not the same as an actual scheduling of the bill for a floor vote. They don’t have the votes yet. This is a vote whipping tactic.

“But Republicans campaigns on this so often that you have a responsibility to carry out what you said in the campaign.”

You do have to prioritize your moral obligations. I can see the logic, when they promise to do evil, well they just have to keep the promise.

The promised repeal and replace.

Trump promised a healthcare system which was better and cheaper than Obamacare.

That’s the promise they need to keep.

So Republicans campaigned on breaking the health insurance market to give themselves a tax cut??? I must have slept through that campaign.
