He listens to his staff when they say “If you force this authoritarian action and place yourself above the rule of law I will resign in protest.” And that’s fine; every normal, stable executive listens to his or her staff in the course of weighing a decision. It’s like when the staff listens to you say “Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?” you know, same thing, normal stuff.

Grassley also told CNN he would “consider” legislation that’s being pushed by Democrats to protect Mueller from being ousted.
You know when would be a great time to pass legislation to prevent Trump from firing Mueller?
