Discussion: Grassley: I Don’t Think ‘Unpredictable’ Trump Would Actually Fire Mueller

While it was not clear whether Grassley believes reports from The New York Times and several other news outlets about Trump’s attempts to get rid of Mueller, he said the news indicates Trump listens to his staff, according to CNN.

Those who want Trump to remain also faced an insurmountable hurdle: The president has long believed, rightly or wrongly, that the U.S. is getting a raw deal under the accord, and it proved nearly impossible to change his mind.

I’ve heard Pence looked up Stormy on Google Images and hasn’t been heard from since.

While true, Trump still has the possibility of facing state charges. No senator from Iowa can help him out there.

As Corn Fed ages, his memory hole expands so he can throw more unwanted memories into it.

PuPPet’s whining at the very rich playground Davos how unfair the press is and particularly when they push the “fake news” about the Mueller investigation. The audience booed him.

“I just don’t think the President, as unpredictable as he is, would fire Mueller, and I take the view, and I said so maybe not directly to the President, but indirectly to the President: Just let this work its course,” he told CNN.

Ah, I remember the good old days when you could only catch it from a toilet seat. Or a Republican. Same difference.

Nixon didn’t fire anyone either, he had someone else do it, didn’t stop the House from preparing impeachment charges.

He listens to his staff when they say “If you force this authoritarian action and place yourself above the rule of law I will resign in protest.” And that’s fine; every normal, stable executive listens to his or her staff in the course of weighing a decision. It’s like when the staff listens to you say “Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?” you know, same thing, normal stuff.

Grassley also told CNN he would “consider” legislation that’s being pushed by Democrats to protect Mueller from being ousted.

You know when would be a great time to pass legislation to prevent Trump from firing Mueller?

Before Trump fires Mueller.

But they won’t. Because they’re the Party of Trump now.

They’re barely even trying to pretend otherwise anymore.

And this milquetoast response from Grassley fits perfectly into the category of “barely pretending.”

When asked whether Trump should fire Mueller, he was firm: “heavens no.”

Dear G-d, it’s so much worse than we ever imagined…

The Secret Society has gotten to Grassley!!!

He put that in a formal address. I know it’s just as crazy no matter what the forum but OMG I can’t believe our President (would it were not so) thought that was an appropriate thing to say in front of a roomful of presumably mostly sane people.

Well, that’s because Stormy is what people refer to as a “good Christian woman”, since Mike found that there are countless videos showing her piously on her knees for great lengths of time.

I would say I would dance on his grave but that would mean I’d have to go to Iowa and that sure as hell ain’t gonna fucking happen. I can get corn at Kroger, thank you very much![/quote]

Oh, I think he will try. Esp. if found innocent by Mueller. trump is not a man to be turned out of office.

Trumpp is so rotten to the core that we continue to look for a hero in his administration. It’s definitely not Don McGahn even if he had a moment of clarity in restraining trumpp this time but was all in on pressuring Beauregard to stay involved in the investigation. .

So, Senator Grassley, do you also think that the “unpredictable” Dotard would actually not nuke North Korea if he was given a chance to do so?

Nah. I’ll just gain 250 lbs. and ride the motorized carts like the Teabaggers do so I can block all the aisles and piss off the libtard shoppers.
