Discussion: Grassley Asks FBI If It Warned Trump Campaign About Aides' Russia Ties

Meanwhile, the FBI DOES publicly accuse the other campaign of ‘carelessness’ with their emails. Strange world!

I don’t know about Manafort, but the acting AG warned Trump about Flynn. It took weeks for them to act.

Yup, the best some folks here can come up with is calling someone a neoliberal. No way does that compare with ‘lousy, Yankee, imperialist rats.’ Maoist elocution at it’s finest.

Also, when your hosts provide with girls who LOOK 12, you can assume they are of legal age without asking----it’s the host’s responsibility to look out for you on that one.

His translator’s English is better than Trump’s. I wonder which staffer had to look up that word for Trump.

Trump is losing the war of insults. This could prove dangerous to all of us. I mean, he dominated the Republican cucks during the Primaries, coined “crooked” for Hillary. This appears to be his only real talent, and Kim is kicking his ass.

“Director Mueller, it’s Grassley again.”
“Yeah, put him on hold with the Sex Pistols music loop”

Indeed.

Occam’s Razor suggests the FBI had no need to warn the tRump because he was fully aware of his campaign manager’s activities.

I am beginning to think that there are recordings of Manafort and the tRump talking about this stuff.

Why? Why WOULD they? They investigate people Chuck. They are not there to save you from yourself. Is there ANYONE you and your fellow Republicans DON’T blame for you making total jerks of yourselves?

Grassley’s point about the FBI’s duty to warn those who need to know about what it knew of Russian involvement in Trump’s campaign should also apply to American voters.
Will someone ask Grassley whether he believes American voters should have access to the same information!

Unfortunately, as Trump’s hand picked appointee, Wray will likely make sure that Grassley gets the answers Grassley and Trump want.

If they had warned McCain, it would have made sense because the warning was about someone outside the campaign. Once you hire a conspirator, you’re kinda on your own.

Did anyone think that Trump & Co. knew, but they brought in their new Evangelical friends to lay hands on Trump and ask God for forgiveness as marched onward as good Christian soldiers?

Yes, this is intended distract the masses after the 'pub failure to repeal the ACA.

Good plan, Grassman - turn the focus back to Russia and Putin’s Puppet(s).

Once again the Trump vetting process…and these people want “extreme vetting” for refugees and immigrants?

Well to be fair, the FBI was busy at the time saving America from Hillary’s emails.

Is it just me or does this sentence indicate that Grassley is implicitly acknowledging the campaign was indeed “infiltrated”???

Perhaps. Equally likely that there are plenty of FBIers who don’t like how the Comey firing was handled and will provide info that will tell a different tale.

@lizzymom

Good catch! Sure seems that way!

…so that he could take defensive action to prevent the campaign from being infiltrated…

This assumes that Trump would not have wanted his campaign to be infiltrated by Russian agents. That seems to be an entirely unwarranted assumption.

Yeah, that’s the ticket! Advise a corrupt, thieving, lying criminal that his mob is being surveilled. Only a dotard like grASSley could ever imagine that is something one would do.

I think what is needed is more name calling.
