The votes were allegedly recounted, supposedly with no input from the King of illegal voting.
Iāve always liked that word ā¦
It is so often ā¦ā operative ā ā
Lock Kobach up!!!
Kris Kobach is a perfect example of someone to whom the Peter Principle applies. It is obvious that he has achieved a higher position than he is qualified for. The trial where he represented his own department (& lost spectacularly!) Is an excellent example of his incompetence.
The race is a dead heat.
Or should I say, WAS a dead heat?
It might not hurt that much either. Remember itās Kans-ass.
Citizen initiated Grand Jury by petition? Wow! Thatās a new one to me. What a thought.
ā,and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.ā Now, where have I herad those words before?..hmmmmā¦
What can i say?! Kansas is a progressive State.
HAHAHAHA! That was funny.
Per Ballotopedia, they are New Mexico,North Dakota, Nebraska, Nevada and Oklahoma.
Here is a link to the article: https://ballotpedia.org/Petitions_to_impanel_grand_juries
PLEASE! People!
Help us beat Kobach in Kansas in November.
Iāve been delivering Laura Kelly yard signs in the Kansas hinterlands, and I can guarantee everyone, thereās a powerful movement all over the state to make certain Kobach canāt win, by cheating or otherwise.
If you can contribute to her campaign, hereās the link, every penny is a vote against Kobach, and the whole nation benefits from Kobachās loss.
Add 18 cents to your contribution so they know it came from TPM readersā¦
Oh, sorry, Liberty U. Mea culpa.
Iāve read the posts here and not one knowledgeable or intelligent comment was written. So letās bring all you nimrods up to speed.
Of all the posts here, Iām the only one who ever partook in raising a grand jury petition.
All that is required is to raise signatures of qualified electors equal to ten percent of those electors who voted in your county for the last gubernatorial election. A small county could have as few as 150 signatures.
The county attorney in which theyāve been conviened is responsible for conducting the grand jury with oversight by a district judge.
The grand jury doesnāt have to investigate what you petioned them to investigate. With our petition we got investigated. If the petition indicated a crime, which it is supposed to do, you will be required to pay forth such evidence and if you canāt or donāt, YOU can be charged with defrauding the court. Much in the way the FBI used the false Trump dossier to defraud the FISA court.
The only one of these Iāve ever seen bring any charges didnāt bring them on the persons who they were supposed to be investigating. In fact the county attorney could take that grand jury anyplace they wanted it to go. The grand jury has broad discretion to investigate anyone the want, including, but not limited to state senator Laura Kelly, the Democratic nominee for Govenor.
Our attorney at the time and now a jusice on the Kansas Supreme Court, Caleb Stegall, lectured us after the no true bill was returned, that what we weāre doing was supposed to be resolved by an election, because that is were real democracy occurs.
The reason this grand jury was empanelled was because if Democrats actually ran on what they believed, instead of lying to people, they never be elected again. In fact since Democrats canāt win on the issues they have to criminalize anyone who stands against them.
Just for the edification of my fellow TPMers, bjneyer above joined about 9:20 EDT, and has one whole post to its credit.
I stopped reading after āderpā.
Yeah, I always found that referring to my audience with dismissive insults like nimrods pretty much destroyed whatever credibility (ethos for you Aristotelians out there) I might have had.
I found the last two paragraphs of screed a bit much, myself.
ETA: MĀ®(s) neyerās screed is pretty lacking in logos and pathos, too.
Looks like there are going to be grand juries being called all over the country to get to the bottom of the GOPās Swamp.
Weāve all seen this movie. Iām going to the kitchen to make a sandwich. Iāll be back for the bloodbath.
He should have been disbarred for his abject ignorance about the law in some of the cases heās been to court on. Heās a legal trogladyte,
Kobach and the rule of law are not only unfamiliar, they are incompatible.Heās an incompetent lawyer.
It may be Kobach.
Heās a lot like Trump.
Wouldnāt surprise me if heās posing as someone else, or one of his doofus campaign people did this. .
At least we are dong something about it. Shouldnāt blame the whole state for what our Republican bullies have imposed on the rest of us.
