Whenever Graham starts talking about Trump every journalist worth her/his salt should play the video of him saying this on the Clinton impeachment:
"If this body [Congress] determines that your conduct as a public official is clearly out of bounds in your role . . . because impeachment is not about punishment. Impeachment is about cleansing the office. Impeachment is about restoring honor and integrity to the office.”

When we look back on this era in twenty years, and we consider the depths to which ostensibly-respectable Republicans sank in order to appease their Dear Leader and his idiot base, the degree to which they were willing to debase themselves, I do not think we will have a better exemplar than one Senator Lindsay Graham.
It’s really pitiful to watch. Not surprising anymore, but still pitiful. Somebody like Louie Gohmert? Louie Gohmert is clearly a total fucking idiot. Maybe Louie need WALL. Lindsay Graham is clearly not a total fucking idiot. He knows this is all bullshit posturing theater. But he does it anyway, because he left shame far, far back over the horizon.
