It’s the continuing saga of the last gasp of White Republican men contorting themselves to retain a modicum of power. If this show of an investigation works, why not? They’ll do anything - even appear to care about the right thing - to save themselves. Why, it’s almost as if they think their voters are just plain stupid.

Gowdy wrote a letter to cover his ass with the pretense of being fair. His “investigation“ is now over. Man, would I love to see Ivanka receive an 11 hour, hostile grilling like Hillary endured. Not because I wish bad things on people, just because tasting their own medicine is the only way repukes learn.

He’s only doing this as a pre-emptive move to open then close any semblance of a real investigation. Then when the Dems taking his place launch a real, in depth and serious investigation into the lust objects performance it will be loudly denounced as partisan which hunting.
