Trying to provoke Trump jealousy?
Zinke, however, does have huge hands, fingers as big as Barron’s thigh.

“The deportation of Caribou Barbie to Siberia?”
Then Palin really could see Russia from her front porch.
A side note–Long ago, I taught on St.Lawrence Island, and could see Siberia (70 miles away) on a clear day.
From GOP Official Rulebook: The first rule about GOP Omertà is that we don’t talk about GOP Omertà.
Well, typically a bully will leave another kid alone after the kid bashes his face in. Being stood up to isn’t what gets them off.
Her “no” vote contributed to a humiliating defeat for Trump. That’s a pretty adverse consequence. I think violent domestic abusers are one thing—they’re dangerous, no matter how you react—and common bullies are another. The latter look for victims they know won’t fight back in any painful way. One bloody nose and they move on. I recall Michelle Obama absolutely flaying Trump in one speech and he never said a mumbling word. He knew the danger he’d be in taking her on. She was more powerful, had more of a genuine following, and he damn well knew it.
Zinkheil ! I’ll try not to slam little Prince Valium-face too much here. He was just following the Emperors’ orders.
Wonder what they got in return for keeping their mouths shut.
Must have found something she did care about or wanted.
Zinke made a meaningless threat, doubtless at the instigation of the bully-in-chief. I’m sure Murkowski had a beer with him and quietly explained to him that federal funding doesn’t come from the executive branch but from Congress. The executive branch has no means of raising funds unless it wants to sell weapons to Iran, and that carries its own risks. So rather than cutting off federal funds to Alaska, Zinke needs to worry about Congress funding his own department. And Murkowski is chair of the committee that oversees his budget. Sullivan doesn’t matter. He’s just there to make up the numbers.
I see this as a case of the teacher being able to work out the problem with the student without having to take it to the principal’s office.
…And THIS is why nobody is buying the ‘strong and independent’ stand from the GOPpers when Trump and group do something particularly egregious. ‘He’s OUR asshole’ will be there rallying cry and something people remember.
Party over reality. Again.
The salmon fishing there is off the charts. Taiman salmon to be exact.
Can someone explain what sort of wrong-doing is thought to have occurred? I’m progressive, pro-Obamacare, anti-Trump, etc, but the article doesn’t actually paint a picture of possible unethical (in the legal sense) activity.
Am I happy that pressure was brought to bear on these two in the manner alleged in this article? No, because I am opposed to repealing Obamacare. I’m glad the pressure didn’t work, but the mechanism of the pressure (vote the way we want or we will cut spending in your State)? Isn’t that what all leaders of both parties have ALWAYS done? (LBJ being the most famously effective at it.)
I’m not saying this is necessarily a good way to whip votes. I’m just trying to figure out why the big deal if it isn’t a crime.
Feel free to look at all my past leftist comments, but Murkowski has a SPINE. Proud.
