Discussion: Gov Accused Of Blackmailing Ex-Lover: What To Expect In Upcoming Trial

Sorry, but the prosecution doesn’t have to have the picture. The women who was threatened will be a witness to what she was told, and if she believed that there was a picture that is all that matters. She was tied up and forced to do thing by Greitens, so a picture is immaterial. Greitens is being charged for not only blackmail by trying up the woman and forcing her to do sex acts. Just one of those acts is enough to put him in prison.

Thanks TPM for an informative write up of what to expect and what is and isn’t at issue in this particular trial (as opposed to the court of public opinion and whether he is fit to hold office)

Okay, I have an android, but shouldn’t it be pretty easy to recover any mages taken with the iPhone?

good article Ms Kirkland

It doesn’t help how this also leads to parents raising their daughters to become misogynists.

So, who’s doin’ the governatin’ while Greitens is swirling around the bowl?

The problem is that he’s not being charged with either blackmail or assault, which might be easier to prove.

If he escapes, pardon the pun these charges he’ll use it as a badge for honor to run for reelection and possibly the presidency. Bowflex in the Oval Office!. All those forgiving evangelicals who give Trump a pass will certainly give him one.

This is simply GREAT professional reporting👏

Josh, the young ones are going to be alright😇

I’ll be shocked if Grietens is convicted. The prosecutors office is famously incompetent and they overcharged the offense. They don’t have the alleged photo so it’s a mystery how they prove their case. This is why Greitens has been so defiant.

If Greitens goes, it will be because of impeachment.
