Thus ensuring that he’ll find something to complain about no matter what our President may do. Does anyone doubt that if he were to come back (I see no reason for it) it would be characterized as “panic”?

Yes, President Obama should return to the U.S. immediately because, as we all know, it is impossible to confer with other world leaders from Cuba since that country has no telecommunications capabilities whatsoever and communication with the outside world is impossible.

When the right became so obsessed with their need to attack President Obama at every turn because of their fear of the self-obsolesence he was forcing them to confront, their uni-focus deprived them of any semblance of contact with, or even awareness of, the real world, rendering them incapable of comprehending the possibility that anyone, let alone someone as talented and competent as President Obama, could possibly focus on more than one issue, and/or task, at once.
Perhaps they were so traumatized by their memory of President Bush’s deer-in-the-headlights response to the 9/11 news that they began to see that as the prototypical example of the maximum competence one could expect in such situations.
