Discussion: GOPer Who Wrote Fiery Benghazi Mom’s RNC Speech: Clinton ‘Only Choice’ In Nov

Totally. And he is proud of the fact that New Yorker called the speak “the weaponization of grief”. How can you think that’s a good thing?

Must be end times for the GOP if a hack is exhibiting scruples…ok, a scruple…take a spin around Red State, National Review, they have 80 something more days of this mortification…

But now he feels Trump has “betrayed and perverted” the party of Ronald Reagan and Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Hillary’s opponent perverted the party well before the convention, you flabby fuckwit.

And another thing: The speech was scripted and wasn’t a mother speaking from the heart? Clutch the mofo-ing pearls and bring me a fainting couch.

Yet another establishment Republican who believes that the problem with the party is Donald Trump. They imagine that once Trump is dispatched in November the GOP will return to being a normal party. They refuse to see that Trump is not the disease, he’s only a sign that party death is near. The disease is rooted in party identity/electoral strategy choices first made about 50 years ago.

Richard Cross, it’s been only weeks since the RNC convention. What, you signed up for a speechwriting gig before you knew if you believed in the cause? You cheap rent-a-boy. I hope you spent whatever you earned on your mom or someone else deserving, assuming Trump paid you. If not, give it away now, you dope.

My guess is that he wrote this because he now has a job outside of D.C. and outside of politics.

I mean, it’s not like Trump has any massive changes in policy or anything since then.

Nope. This POS lives in Baltimore and works for NAM. https://www.linkedin.com/in/richard-cross-07a8526. If he were a decent person, he would contribute what the Trump campaign paid him to the Clinton campaign. If not, his remorse is hollow. May it haunt him.

“The reality of American politics today is…” that you can say any crazy, hateful shit you want to get the nomination, pivot to the slightly less reprehensible, standard GOP rhetoric and it’s all good. Otherwise you are an insane, unsupportable charlatan and cannot be tolerated. (And their minions swallow it all willingly.)

Too funny. I have trouble viewing this as any different than someone having an “epiphany” shortly after spraying oven cleaner in their eyes and down their throat.

First John Yoo and now this guy? Did anyone have them them ahead of Paul Ryan in their Dump Trump fantasy draft? Who’s next – Dick Cheney?

More & more Republicans who consider themselves good God fearing people are going to wake up and jettison Trump. They will be brushing their teeth and look at themselves in the mirror and say “Oh God what am I doing” - the more religious ones will envision having to ultimately explain to their maker their ugly choices in life - and will fear the judgment for backing Trump.
