Discussion for article #226356

Blatant self-interest is at the root of our country’s constitution and bible. When, O when will liberals stop attacking the bible?

And yet a huge percentage of the US population continues to ignore this level of hypocrisy and vote for these chuckleheads…it astonishes me.

I, for one, welcome Lee Terry’s honesty (or willfully ignorant f*&kstickery), because it draws attention to the remarkable disparities of wealth and income in our country. We could, of course, continue on the path to greater wealth concentration, but it would mean that every member of Congress, indeed, every elected official, would have to be a Lee Terry clone to sustain the ruse. I’m just not sure most of us have the motivation to get there.

Yea but people on minimum wage probably don’t have nice houses or kids in college and probably never will so, they don’t need a raise…oh wait…

“I’ve got mine, so it’s all good. If you want yours, you’ll have to petition your elected representative to Congress. Oh, wait…”

This is as bad as the Republican who was elected in 2010 because he said he would oppose Obamacare and then went on to complain that he had to wait too long to get covered by insurance.

Another cry baby Republican victim, doing what they do best, whining.

It shouldn’t be astonishing. God, guns, gays, grift is some powerful messaging.

I’m really starting to think some one in the GOP knows how to use the Jedi Mind trick, because it’s so hard to think that they can continue to pull the wool over the poor saps eyes that constantly vote them in.
