I’ll tell one more. We were in a restaurant in Sorrento and the waiter was incomparable and he explained he worked with the chef to please every single diner. Place is very small. So the first thing he asked was if anyone had allergies. I heard him ask this table of young American students and one of the girls said: “I’m allergic to cheese.” That threw him. He said he’d talk to chef but that was going to be hard.
Cheese. How the fuck do you get through Italy, France, Spain or Greece if you’re allergic to cheese?
I guess the same could be said about the fact that I don’t drink. Still I don’t demand there be no alcohol in my food - that doesn’t bother me and I wouldn’t think of it.
