I urge people to read the 302 statements that the court ordered to be released. Flynn was asked about all the conversations he had with the Russian ambassador, and when he was reminded about one of them, he thanked those questioning him for reminding him about one that concerned Israel and proceeded to give details. The investigators asked him three times about the exchange he had while in Costa Rica and he not only denied it, he embellished, by saying things like his reception was too bad to get news about sanctions thus he COULD NOT have had that conversation.
Judges like Sullivan actually do from time to time deal with defendants who claim they didnât know lying to an official agent was a crime, but they are usually pro se and not represented by counsel. I canât tell you what level of disgust he must have felt when he saw that Flynnâs lawyers were going down that road.
With these kinds of GOP statements, the word âincarcerationâ will creep ever-more-present in the Drumpfsterâs mind.
