Discussion: GOP Senators Break From White House On Flynn: 'He Told A Bald-Faced Lie'

With the Toupee-in-Chief, it’s more of a bald-headed lie.

It’s easy to explain the WH stance: Donnie has a lot in common with other liars.

Sanders on Tuesday reiterated the White House’s position: Flynn “was certainly ambushed and the FBI."

I’m so old, I can remember when the GOP called itself “The Party of Law and Order”.

Those were the days…

I like how they both add the caveat that he somehow let the president down, when it was the president he was covering for in the first place.

The only break is that they’re unwilling to attack the FBI. Still willing to pretend that the president did nothing wrong.

Is this, perchance, the first pebbles of an avalanche?

PS: In case you were wondering, I picked a bad week to quit sniffing glue…

Wonder what Flynn’s singing voice is like?

I urge people to read the 302 statements that the court ordered to be released. Flynn was asked about all the conversations he had with the Russian ambassador, and when he was reminded about one of them, he thanked those questioning him for reminding him about one that concerned Israel and proceeded to give details. The investigators asked him three times about the exchange he had while in Costa Rica and he not only denied it, he embellished, by saying things like his reception was too bad to get news about sanctions thus he COULD NOT have had that conversation.

Judges like Sullivan actually do from time to time deal with defendants who claim they didn’t know lying to an official agent was a crime, but they are usually pro se and not represented by counsel. I can’t tell you what level of disgust he must have felt when he saw that Flynn’s lawyers were going down that road.

With these kinds of GOP statements, the word “incarceration” will creep ever-more-present in the Drumpfster’s mind.

It’s the MAGA base which propels GOP Senators in small-populated states which keeps the Drumpfster STRONG

But there is a limit to everything.

I would teach Spanish to kids when I was younger and to help them I would buy comic books written in Spanish (Bugs, Daffy, Mickey, the works). When the writer would show the character laughing I would chuckle at the looks on my students’ faces as they read:

Jajajajaja…
