Well Senator, this is the party you belong to. Ever consider changing that?

Kelly made a canny move to shore up his support with Trump’s base. They don’t care if you are competent, so long as you fall in line with their racist views. His job is safe now.

It’s taking Senator Scott an awfully long time to figure out he’s in the wrong political party.

Well when they make him sit in the cloakroom instead of the chamber maybe he’ll get the hint.

Sir, why the fuck are you a Republican?

Sir, who did you vote for in the last presidential election?

Tim Scott: you are a black man in a party whose base and President are both explicitly racist. How do you sleep?

He said some nice-sounding words after Charlottesville.

Kelly’s ignorance must have stunned him further, hopefully not into submission.

These cretins don’t like your kind, Senator Scott.

Senator, you compromised your integrity on this issue the day you joined the Republican party.

Trump has corrupted almost everyone that works for him. Kelly has fallen and it isn’t any surprise that he has.

How wonderful that trump has someone in the White House who is knowledgeable about the details of the Civil War (or if you like The War of Northern Aggression) so that he may be instructed as to what version of history we are to maintain with all of our wonderful statues in city parks and high schools named for confederate generals.
(Head in hands)

Maybe Sarah Hamhock will say "not to worry, this Kelly character is just a ā€˜coffee boy’ volunteer and really isn’t all that important in the day to day running of the Greatest White House In The History Of The World.
(I’m gonna go walk my dog now)

My thoughts exactly. This is who you are in bed with with. Scott and Graham are my senators. Both have sold their souls. Graham is gay and Scott is African American. Both are tolerated for their vote, but are a sell out to their people.

ā€œThere was no compromise to make – only a choice between continuing slavery and ending it,ā€ Scott said. ā€œWe need to move forward together, instead of letting the divisions of the past continue to force us apart.ā€
Words to repeat whenever we hear crap about Southern Heritage.
I’m a yellow dog Democrat (i’d Vote for any yellow dog before I’d vote for a gop…but, this guy has possibilities.

Praise them when they are good! Vote against them when they are bad.

Calling himself ā€œSenator.ā€ Power and prestige trump personal integrity for this one.

Has he, or does he merely bring out their true selves?

Pssst. Sen. Scott? As with Oklahoma’s own former 4th District Congressman, your racist Party of Lincoln Booth is perfectly happy to use you and your votes to advance their agenda. Just know you’ll never be anything more to them than another ā€œfig leafā€. Not in a billion, trillion years.

~cough~ Look at Mike Pence ~cough~

Gee. A White Republican General claims not enough compromise was offered to prevent the Civil War. A Black Senator recognizes that no compromise was possible.

Is the General an ignorant White Supremacist?

I see no alternative explanation, because it was the South Caroline militia who fired the first shot on Fort Sumpter. They were not looking for or hoping for a compromise, and they would not have accepted one if it were offered. Their only compromise was ā€œMy Way or the Highway.ā€ And they damned well knew it.
