All the things Coats said were true. But they apply equally to himself and to 99% of the rest of the Republican party.

Oh please, Cruz knows that this convention is just like the one that nominated Goldwater in 1964, with the same outcome come Election Time. Those delegates are STILL going to be out there, just as mad as now and he’s going to be in a position to pick them up in 2020 if they still bother to vote. Meanwhile, he’ll look like a man of principle to his Holier-Than-Thou base and Coats…well, he’ll be dead.
If Clinton II does even a so-so job he will be in a sterling position to take those delegates and try to make her a one-term president.
