This hearing would be amazing if they started bringing up individuals to vouch for Trump. A playmate, a porn star, a Hispanic, a black friend, a gay friend, a Muslim, an ex wife, a vendor he paid. Then bring in a bunch of Russians he screwed over.

Each Republican shouldāve been assigned a minority friend of Trumpās to bring to the hearing to refute any claims of bias or discrimination. The sight of all these angry white people screaming at Cohen while having some sad looking human tool stand behind them as the token of exploitation. I think it would have been too much to handle for us.

Meadows started the questioning by asking Cohen if he knew Lynne Patton, who worked at the Trump Organization and the Trump Foundation before being appointed by Trump to a top job at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Nice job at the Foundation, Ms. Patton. (No comment on the HUD appointmentā¦)

Lowell Weicker when he was a Republican was pretty decent. I mean, he got fucking William F. Buckley to endorse a Democrat running against him. So, just for getting under Buckleyās ugly skin, I give him props.

Itās ok. It is easy to forget that the Republican Party once had a pretty strong Pragmatic contingent, and an Anti Vietnam War, Liberal Contingent. The contingent that rose up when Barry Goldwater ran for the nomination, as described in Richard Hofstadterās The Paranoid Style in American Politics, came back with Reagan and have ruled the GOP and many parts of the country during the entire lifetime of many people. One day these people will feel like those who were born, lived and died before the Boston Red Sox won the World Series again in 2004.
