Discussion: GOP Rep Skipped Town Halls Because Of Disruption, 'Criminal Element'

“That gets into a definitional thing. What is a town hall?”

Um…it’s a meeting, usually held in a hall, which can be attended by anyone in the town.

Which part, exactly, is confusing you?

Brooks also cited an incident of tire slashing outside Rep. Tom McClintock’s (R-CA) town hall last week.

Those were fake tires.

“On the one hand, town halls aren’t what they used to be. They used to be a forum in which citizens could come, you’d have a polite, courteous interchange of ideas cookies, and I as a congressman would have a better idea as to what my constituents wanted, and constituents would have a better idea of what my belief system is and why I’m doing what I’m doing preach to the choir,” he continued.

You’re welcome Mo, I fixed your quote for you.

Where can I find the newspaper articles or the tweets where you denounced the behavior of Trump supporters at his rallies?

“Now, on the other hand, I’m still meeting with any constituent that
wants to meet with me, but it’s not in front of a TV camera, where
people tend to showboat.”

Like you’re doing. Right now. In front of a TV camera.

The criminal element was the Trump Rallies. These are actual concerned citizens with real concerns and life stories.

Another ignorant cracker heard from.

“Look at my African-American over here! Are you the greatest?”

Said by Mo (“Criminal Element”) Brooks, never, at any public gathering.

“Nowadays with different elements from the Democratic Party, you’ve got the disrupters, you’ve got the Socialists, you’ve got the somewhat criminal element that’s engaged in criminal conduct at some of these types of events, you cannot have a town hall as those things used to be done."

Criminal Element is dog whistle for; BLACK PEOPLE.

This guy is the quintessential Republican Coward. Blaming little old ladies who don’t want their health care taken away as “Disrupters”

Fucking Pathetic.

No, No. Their “CONSTITUENTS” are EXCLUSIVELY their CAMPAIGN DONORS.
Everybody else in their district are just the “unwashed masses” they need to frighten and dupe into voting for them once every two years.

There was a time in America when Americans could actually come into the White House to personally talk to the President about their concerns.

The only thing I can say about these chickenshit Congresspeople who think they don’t work for us and apparently don’t work for the country either is I hope to fucking hell we can get rid of them next year.

Enough people are pissed off - they need to vote their anger.

If Republicans are this scared of Liberals who just use Words, what will happen when Liberals adopt Republican tactics of showing up with loaded AR-15s, “Just exercising our 2nd Amendment Rights”?
