Discussion for article #234171
Follow up question for Rep. King: Using your own rubric, can you name one current Republican that acts like a ‘responsible adult’?
Of course they aren’t “Responsible Adults”. That is what got them elected.
They are the stupid person’s idea of what a smart politician sounds like.
The recent letter to the Ayatollah in Iran exhibits at least 47 spoiled kindergarteners.
Peter King finds their behavior hypocritical. And if there’s one man on the face of the earth that knows hypocritical it’s Peter King.
And Peter King is !
Peter, Peter, Peter…
Are there any responsible adults in the Republican Party? If so, would they please stand up.
You know it is bad when Peter King sounds more reasonable than the other clowns (no disrespect meant to real clowns).
When Peter King represents the responsible wing of the Republican party in Congress, things are seriously out of whack.
Bed wetters.
the link re cruz’s appearance is worth a read. he really flamed out in his appearance before the firefighters; not at all the kind of reception he has become accustomed to from the teatards. via mediaite:
“By the way, I understand Secretary Clinton chose not to join us,” Cruz told the International Association of Fire Fighters, a group that typically supports Democratic candidates. “If only you could have found a foreign nation to foot the bill.”
This was a reference to a report last month that the Clinton Foundation accepted donations from foreign governments during Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State. According to reporters on the scene, the joke elicited only groans from the largely unappreciative crowd:
@SenTedCruz “If only we could have found a foreign nation to foot the bill” for Clinton to come to @IAFFNewsDesk –> crickets

Groans from crowd. MT @NYTnickc: Cruz hits Hillary absence: “If only we could have found a foreign nation to foot the bill.”

Cruz makes a joke about how Clinton would be there if a foreign nation would have footed the bill. Crickets basically

I’m always a little stunned when I agree with a Republican in Congress.
Pot, kettle.
From the choice of targets that Peter King has selectively chosen to direct his anger and rant against, it sure sounds like the Jebya Bush campaign has putting its piles of Kochrovian corporate kleptocrat money to use. Follow the money. A few weeks ago, Giuliani’s despicable and encrusted pie-hole was paid for, now it is Peter King’s.
That’s almost what I was going to say…
Pot. Kettle. Racial epithet.
It takes one irresponsible juvenile Republican to know two others.
Oh yes. Just sit in a barber shop for a few minutes. So many thing these guys are “smart”.
Got that right. Pot calling the kettle black, but it’s fun to watch anyway.
I did read what Cruz said and clearly he was in thrall to his inner standup comedian who laid an egg. As to firefighters, for anyone who’s ever had to call 911 and the firefighters have shown up in under two minutes, as happened to me a few years ago, you’ll remain grateful to them whatever city they’re in.
