Discussion: GOP Rep: Mueller Is 'Not Being Favorable To The President'

Gee willikers, Steve, do ya maybe think that’s because Mueller knows Trump has betrayed our country?

Mueller? The guy who has worked for Dems and Republicans for 30 years? That guy?

Guys, maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t read this as a complaint. I read it as “hey, a guy who’s not his friend is already looking at it, let’s let him be about it” dodge. Which, as Republican dodges go, isn’t all that objectionable.

It’s NOT Mr. Mueller’s job to be favorable! It’s Mr. Mueller’s job to be objective and fair.

Well, see, you’re urged to “use vivid details to make your writing come to life.” So I try to do that.

I’ll buy that. Would be a reasonable thing to say. Still suspicious of that hair.

The fact pattern, as the lawyers like to say, is not being favorable to Trump.

What, Rep. Russell? Do you expect Mueller to give a him a BJ like Donald gave to Vlad?

Depends on which definition you use for oversight.

Oh, those facts! They are pesky little fucking things, aren’t they?

It bears repeating.

Yeah, Steve, most people in this country usually aren’t “favorable” to traitors. Ask the Rosenbergs. Oh, wait…

So the deal is that the entire GOP, the NRA, Evangelical Christians, the RWNJ media, and big parts of the FBI are in Putin’s pocket? For real?

I wish anyone else involved would all just say so, so I can stop being shocked by my own naiveté and ignorance.

“I think that you have to look at the fact that we already have a special investigator that’s been appointed by the President, one that, you know, quite frankly many people see that he is not being favorable to the President, depending upon what political viewpoint you have,” Russell said.

“I don’t think there’s some issue on the other side of the aisle that, you know, Mr. Mueller is being unfair,” he added. “Those investigations are handled by special investigators.”

Low energy, you know.

This is his inadvertently honest perspective - the Rs criticism is that Mueller isn’t sufficiently on Trump’s side…

Scumbags…all of them…

He is not supposed to be. that’s the point of a professional, neutral, ethical investigation.
