Bring it on, Mr Jones, because such a proceeding would clarify the naked emptiness of the republicans. What high crimes? What misdemeanors? These are what are necessary for impeachment. Not disagreements of policy. And not because the guy is black. Or a democrat.

So what if, in the wildest scenario, they succeed. What do they get? Biden!

This is bizarre – half of the Republicans today were kids or not even born when Nixon left office. That is a strange grudge to be carrying.

All too true. The elected officials then were responsible and reluctant to exercise this all too significant power. There was a very strong case of impeaching Ronald Reagan, but officials reluctance again held the sway. So let them impeach Obama. I will be interested in seeing what the charges are that rise to the level of high treason.

Witnessing the Repub/Neocon internecine war is like the strong urge to slow down and look at a car crash, and then to go around the block and look again and again and again. The victims are piling up!!

Hear, hear John Boehner, Karl Rove.

Ahem.

“This whole talk about impeachment is coming from the president’s own staff and coming from Democrats on Capitol Hill.” - Spkr. John Boehner

But you know, you still have to PROVE this stuff at a trial.

Jones said impeachment was designed to get a President’s attention when he or she surpassed their executive authority.

No. That’s not what it’s for.

You’d think a sitting congressman would know that.

Kind of sick of TPM and its focus on tea party nutcases. Can we get some stories on what Democrats are actually saying or doing? Nothing, I’m sure. Never mind. Go back to reporting on the tea party nutjobs.

Jones is a charter member of the Bachmann/Gohmert/King/Blackburn GOP Idiot Caucus.

He has to be reminded to put his socks on before he puts on his shoes.

So impeachment is free??? I seem to recall it being far from free, and MUCH more than $3Million:

“Independent probes of Clinton Administration cost nearly $80 million”
http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1999/04/01/counsel.probe.costs/

( The Party of Fiscal Responsibility? My azz!! )

Impeach? Sure, why not? Go right ahead. It’s not like Congress has anything else to do.

BTW: There is absolutely NO CHANCE of a conviction, while it will certainly help add to the National Debt, while assuring that nothing will get done in The Congress for the next two years. Additionally it will guarantee that Hillary rules from the White House from 2017 thru 2024, removing any possibility of the GOP being a national party for generations to come, if ever again.

Carry On!

Who’d a thunk the GOP takes its cues from Democrats?

Well, except Dems controlled the House and Senate, did they not?

To steal the first line in Wikipedia’s entry on insanity: “Insanity, craziness or madness is a spectrum of behaviors characterized by certain abnormal mental or behavioral patterns.”

Walter Jones his is own unique brand of crazy, but the GOP is quite diverse in this department.

Was it Freud who said that sane families are sane in the same way, while insane families are insane each in their own way?
