Discussion: GOP Rep.: 'I Will Fully Admit' I Didn't Read Full ACA Repeal Bill Before Voting Yes (VIDEO)

Actually, I think the CBO score will be devastatingly bad. The House just wanted to get the hell out from under this turkey and go on vacation and dump it on the Senate having claimed that they did their job and erased the horrid, very bad ACA… Why would a party that proselytizes ‘dynamic scoring’ give a shit about what the CBO score? After the last devastating score, they were claiming that the CBO didn’t take into account the ‘magic asterisk’ trickle down effects.

Nah, they are as asinine as they are incompetent. My bet is that McConnell is totally pissed at them.

Employer-provided care is a massive principle, and even if the changes to pre-existing conditions and essential health benefits only knock a small percentage off their plans it could be 30+ million.

10% of the country losing health care? And Donnie in charge of PR? Calamity.

I get the distinct impression that the idiot relies on his staff. Does he share his $175K salary and benefits with him? Do they work only 124 days a year? Doubtful. But they’re the brains of the organization because his doesn’t seem to work.

I repeatedly saw TV ads featuring Trump lying about the AHCA and attacking Collins for not supporting that plan. Evidently that strategy worked.

And it comes with a higher price tag than the beta version since they added more, but still woefully inadequate, dollars to clean up the preexisting condition toxic waste site.

Any guess about what the CBO will do about the state waiver stuff? The way it was written, the House bill allowed states to request a waiver on both pre-existing conditions and on essential health benefits. So does the CBO just ignore those parts? Do they give four different scores based on whether 1) none of the states, 2) 1/3 of the states, 3) 2/3 of the states, 4) all the states actually do request and receive those waivers?

The Dutch Public Broadcasting program Zembla investigated the Trump-Putin bondage lovefest. And as you probably suspected (expected!), it ain’t pretty. Not a lot of new information here in Part 1 but it’s an excellent recap/threading of Comrade Chaos’ already-known ties to organized crime.

If the teaser for Part 2 is any indication, this may well blow the whole PP-Putin affair wide open.

TV Worth Watching. Seriously!

Here is a thought to make every GOP politician’s butt pucker:

You did nothing to assuage or give certainty to healthcare insurers who need to file plans for 2018. The deadline is almost here. You only muddied the water more.

How are you going to keep these already skittish healthcare insurers from folding up their tents and refusing to even cover LARGE segments of the market leaving constituents uninsured or paying exorbitant rates?

You now own this issue lock/stock/barrel. Forget blaming Obama. This is now YOUR Trumpcare Can-O-Worms.

Congratulations. WELL PLAYED!

Don’t worry, Chris. It will be out in CliffNotes tomorrow. Make it easy on yourself. It’s not like it is a matter of life and death.

This knob, regrettably my Congressman, was the first sitting member of Congress to endorse Hair Furor. He went all in from jump, and is now painted into a corner. He has to support whatever bullshit legislation Trump wants passed.

I can also tell you that I was a county employee at the time when Collins was the County Executive, so he was sort of my boss. He’s a tool of epic proportions.

Pretty low bar, Mr. Von Holst. If one were not careful, one might impute sarcasm to your post.

I wouldn’t take that bet. Even though McConnell is a reptile, who could blame him? The House dumps this load of horseshit on the Senate and goes running for the hills while the Senate, in all likelihood, will have to scrap this piece of crap and start from scratch. I’d be having some words with Paul Ryan at my earliest opportunity, if I were ol’ Turtleface.

For some people, that’s all that it takes. Though I truly wonder why it would make either of them feel good.
