Trump looks like the arrogant ungracious buffoon that he is, sitting there as the host to the most powerful leader in Europe in the video on that twitter feed. He makes himself look so petty and small with his ill-mannered and resentful attitude. What a fucking man-baby.
Really. It’s his freaking job to be presentable. It looked as though Merkel was trying not to laugh at him.
I guess that’s the difference between high German and low German. I’ll leave it to others to figure out which is which, though I think its pretty obvious.
The problem is that they are not working with Democrats? What is he talking about? Is he so clueless that he seriously thinks the Dems are going to work with the Republicans to destroy this reform they worked so hard to create? Weird.
I’m loving this… a couple of young bucks are not falling into line and are actually looking sensible. Hopefully a few more will challenge the establishment.
Yes never mind the Russian reset the Republicans better figure out #1 how to govern, #2 give the Democrats something they can both work on, and #3 get both of their boys, Ryan and McConnell inline.
“Let me tell you, honestly, that yes, this is bullshit. But, and I’m being completely truthful here because what else can I say, that this is in fact the absolutely. Best. Bullshit. Ever. Many people have told me this is so, and what can I say? They all like it, they all love it! Everyone! 100%! It is fantastic, it is so fantastic, it’s tremendous, its so amazing it’s so tremendous; it is bullshit. It should be gold, it’s that great! If bullshit came as gold bullshit, it would be this!”
It’s the look of so much winning.
Which do you suppose was worse for her: getting snubbed by *President Dumpsterfire or getting an ambush shoulder massage from W? Long has she suffered at the hands (some of them tiny) of Republican presidents.
My favorite part: “Affordable housing is a luxury and we are going to get rid of it. Donald Trump does not live in affordable housing and neither should you.”
I think the less she had to show she cares for this foolish little man, the better it is for her back home. They hate Trump there.
They don’t always fall in line; they’re just good enough at whip counts to let stuff drop when it’s a sure loser so they don’t have the embarrassment of an actual failed vote to cement their incompetence. If we keep scaring them at town halls, they’ll find excuses for not going along. That’s how we killed Bush’s attempt to privatize Social Security.
Here is my fear: all of the news about the disaster and how the bill cannot win seems chilling enough once we recall how that deep cloud of doubt was cast over Trump’s electability. Might it not mean that the ACHA will actually pass easily?
The Putin “cloud” is another way to hide the damage the GOP is doing to our country, isn’t it? We hear about Sessions lying to Congress about Russia, but how much attention gets paid when he announces he’ll no longer worry about enforcing civil or voting rights?
As much as I disagree with Amash, I would take his honest libertarianism over Trump’s lying lies.
Up the Rumpcare is going to hit small business owners like a trifecta.
More owners will have to send their spouses to work at some crappy job that offers benefits, instead of helping with the family business. Fewer owners will be able to offer insurance, even as more workers demand it.
Couple that with a dwindling supply of illegal immigrants to work for cash on the side, if the beautiful wall gets built as advertised, and starting ones own business quickly becomes this impossible proposition where you suddenly have the freedom to literally do everything yourself.
Or skate by uninsured, praying that nobody gets hurt or sick.
I understood exactly what Trump did when he did it. He did what I call a “Boss Roll”, the boss rolling over his subordinates. Usually, it’s over things like drink orders, “No, Brasky, you’ll have whisky with the rest of us like a man! Waitress! 10 shots of Jack!”, not “That thing you’ve repeatedly said publicly you hate? I’m going to tell everyone you love it now. Cuz, I’m the boss.”
It was also a subplot on last year’s run of “Veep”, when Sabrina saddled Dr. House with the economy by telling reporters he volunteered for the economic task force.
Or when Trump made Christie have the White House meatloaf?
Conservative Republicans tried to get rid of Amish in 2014. Any Michigan congresscritter who lines up with Trump will have to explain the most anti-Michigan budget in the State’s history.
No funds for the Great Lakes? Protecting the Great Lakes is an article of faith here.
Or self-employed, or people whose employers don’t offer insurance, or people whose COBRA has run out.
The “press availability” was a photo op called a “Listening session on Veterans Affairs” that Trump co-opted. It was disgusting.
