Discussion: GOP Rep. Echoes Trump: Dems' Refusal To Clap During SOTU Was 'Un-American'

Tenney defended Trump’s criticisms for Democrats, telling CNN that the President just “likes to talk in colorful language.”

“It was just locker-room talk.”

I am starting to wonder if we, as a country, are going to get through 4 years w/o these clowns and their fuher trying to criminalize running as, or voting for, a Democrat.

Apparently the dotard wants this sort of law (rescinded immediately should a Democrat take office):

“I would say it was un-american. And they don’t love our country. I
don’t know if I would go as far as treasonous,” Tenney said on CNN
Tuesday morning when asked About Trump’s comments about Democrats’ behavior during his speech.

So sitting on one’s hands when the POTUS says something you do not agree with is “Un-American”? But it’s OK when republicans do it at the SOTU?
Lady, I would direct your attention to thew 1st amendment of the Constitution. Anyone has the right to express themselves and the government, specifically you as a representative of the government, cannot say BOO about it. So therefore, go pound sand.

I don’t use this emoji very often but its use is warranted here.

Just turning the Nazis’ language back on them but fair point, ok.

They sure start barking up the wrong tree when they start this shit though. They really don’t understand Americans very well if at all. She must have been home-schooled.

3 way split like Idjit Lepage. . It won’t be so easy next time

She faced Democrat Kim Myers and Independent Martin Babinec in the November general election.[30] Tenney won the election, receiving 47% of the vote to Myers’ 40% and Babinec’s 13%.[31]

So, how many days before the revival of, “why do Democrats hate America” meme?

In all fairness to @bikerdad there was briefly a Rep. Walsh, Joe, who if he was executed would’ve deserved it.

It’s important to keep this in mind when talk about forming a third party begins. They act as spoilers only, will never get the EC votes need to win, and they’ll bring us a GWB again. OTOH a third party aided in getting rid of GHWB and brought us Bill. Not going into the Sanders and Stein effect, because we know.

Get out of here! No, really, get out! The Republic was doing just fine before you crawled out from under whichever rock. These ‘people’ are ugly, ugly, ugly and apparently never passed a civics class in High School. But then this IS the GOP we’re speaking of here.

Run for office- and run FOR something! Don’t just run against Trump. You’ll either be preaching to the choir or confirming, in some people’s minds, that all ‘librals’ are out to get their man.

Don’t just run on lofty campaign ideals, either- get REAL specific. You want to run on jobs or healthcare reform or the new landfill? You must have a plan. THEN you can point out the difference between having a plan and promising to work on a plan sometime in the future.

Remember 7 years of promises to ‘repeal and replace’? Turns out they didn’t have a plan and rushed to a secret hidey hole for 2 whole weeks, cobbling together a 2-legged tripod.

Do better than this. PLEASE! Run for office!

Ya gotta run!

Did anybody ask her if she ever clapped for Obama?

“I saw many more Republicans en masse standing up in President Obama’s State of the Union addresses,” she said.

Come up with a good message, a good plan and good character and maybe YOU’LL get applause, too!

It’s not the dear-leader-ism that’s shocking; it happens with every Republican presidency. It’s the lack of limits to how the bar is lowered that never ceases to surprise. With Trump, Republicans have made it clear that they’ll revere someone worse than a shit stain.
