Congressman: the Internet is forever.

We also need the guardians of our liberty, the news media, to speak more directly and more often about the hundreds of thousands of citizens who joined the teens in their quest to do the right thing and had had enough of watching NOTHING happen, ever, to control the madness. Consider if all the deaths by gun, every day, were instead caused by ANYTHING else. Disease, poisoning, crashes of any kind. What would happen then?

This is exactly the sort of cynical, pragmatic window-dressing the GOP needs to pull itself into the 20th Century!

That is a suspiciously tan forehead, congressman.

I wonder if he’s been hanging out with this guy…

As some of us were commenting the other day, this may be one of the first signs that coziness with the NRA is becoming uncool. A slight but noticeable cultural shift.

Rep. Mike Bishop (R-MI), this is a good start, but talk is cheap. You are not redeemed until you VOTE for gun control.

Let’s hope his opponent touts his A+ NRA rating.

“Asking for a friend.” :innocent:

Yes because there always had to be a tipping point. Always. Things go up and then they go back down; they go right and then they go back left.

There’s a law of physics here at work and it works on society the same way.

One thing I’ve noticed about crises is there are people who say “stand aside, I’ll take charge here.” That’s what those kids did. They saw nobody would change anything if they didn’t provide the leadership themselves, so they dusted themselves off and started leading.

“Mike Bishop has not changed positions on these issues.”

So he doesn’t even have the stones to stand by his unchanged position. Riiight.

This district includes Howell. As Midland was Bircher Central, Howell was KKK Central. Removing your NRA rating is not what you might expect from a Republican in this district.

It is a very strong sign that GOP is SCARED of the students’ current movement against gun control. They want to hide their COLOR to voters. Silly or childish political tactics.

Hey now. This douche bag, snowflake is, unfortunately, representing my district and he has NEVER gotten my vote. Not all Michiganders are dumb.

The republican party has become a legion of virtual fence-sitters.

Wait…dont tell me …he will continue to take their money…

Now that is the problem, isn’t it?

I can top that. My representative is Virginia Foxx.

I was gonna say something but…respect.

Isn’t THAT cute! Conservaturds think they can hide. LOLOLOLOL - no worries - we already assume the worst if you’re GOP.
