Discussion: GOP Rep. Apologizes For Comparing Obama To Hitler In Paris Attacks Tweet

Discussion for article #231997

The “president’s actions” are bombing the shit out of ISIS and summarily assassinating AQ’s leadership.

So fuck off.

Mission accomplished. Knuckleheads satisfied. The numbers of people who would throw their hands up in disgust because of the stupid symbolism are declining every day, so the minuses are dwindling for this ploy, while the stoopid keeps on rollin’.

There was so much solidarity from the GOTP leadership . Sen’s’ Rubio, Cruz, Paul Graham and MCcain attended as did Presidential hopefuls Gov’s. Chris Christie, Scott Walker, and Bobby Jindal, Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, Herman Cain,$arah Palin, and the entire cast and crew of Fox and Friends . So there!.

Scumbag. But eilianoelmexicano is right–there is no downside for such scumbags to pander to the base. The HOR is f#cked for good via gerrymandering.

Have any of these morons given any thought to the security nightmare it would have been for Obama to attend? Better for him to work behind the scenes on antiterrorism plans!

Most of them would be happy if the security failed utterly.

“I didn’t mean to trivialize Hitler, I meant to say Obama is LIKE Hitler.”

Translated.

That was almost like a real apology.

There is no way out of this: the GOP is the party of stupid and will always be. It has become THE magnet for the haters, bigots, willfully ignorant and complete idiots. There is no return for the party, unless, somehow a miracle happens.

The terrorist attacks in Paris should remind us of the evil that still exists.

For fucks sakes, who needs reminding that evil still exists? This is such a stupid statement.

The President’s actions or lack thereof is my point of contention. Islamic extremists have shown they are not going away, and instead are hungry for more blood.

This is another ridiculously silly point to make. The president is well aware that Islamic extremists aren’t going to just go away, that’s why he continues to bomb the shit out of them.

After World War II, the world made a commitment to ‘Never Again’ allow terror free reign. As demonstrated by the Paris Peace Rally, we must all –Christians, Jews, Muslims, leaders around the world and those willing to fight for freedom – unite and stand strong together against radical extremism in any form.

Okay, so what stopped you from attending?

I remain amazed at the way conservatives believe they can put the toothpaste back in the tube.

He NOW realizes “that the use of Hitler invokes pain and emotional trauma?” Well, that’s certainly some educational system they have down there in the Lone Star state.

This is how Republicans work:

A: Make an asinine, outrageous statement.

B: Make a halfass apology a few days later.

C: Everyone who was outraged forgets about him in a few days and the people who hate Obama remember him forever.

D: Profit

And the media chuckle about it on Sunday.

A republican issued a statement that “evil still exists.”

QED

I’d like to point out that this president shot Bin Ladin in the face and is bombing the holy crap out of ISIS. The GOP can fuck off with their faux outrage.

River’s up, permanently, house totally submerged, permanently; and dad working out coverage for the leaky roof or do we need maybe a new one.

We didn’t used to be this high up on the Stupid Country Watch list. Now we’re Albania with a credit line and a terminal consumption jones. We been decapitated, head popped on a turtle’s back and us still tweeting away. Ben Franklin’s ghost left for Paris 3 decades back.

Those who aren’t offended by his remarks are the ones we need to worry about.
