Discussion: GOP Rep: American Muslim Community 'Would Kill Every Homosexual' In U.S

Brooks is righteously concerned about "the Muslim community, which, if it had its way, would kill every homosexual in the United States of America.”

Unlike the good Baptist in Sacramento who believes “If we lived in a righteous government, they should round [the LGBT] all up and put them up against a firing wall, and blow their brains out.”

Garbage. Brooks is following the Trump pattern of picking a couple of dog whistles and a pile of unsubstantiated assertions, tying them together, and then saying whatever comes to mind on the topic.
Today he’s featuring Muslims, Gays, Gun Control , and (peripherally) immigration. Total BS…

And the Democrats are in a perplexing position. On the one hand, they’re trying to appeal to the gay community, but, on the other hand, they’re trying to also appeal to the Muslim community…

Yes. Truly a dilemma for Dems… unlike Mo’s: “Do I endorse openly my party’s certifiably crazy candidate who would destroy the world because someone accused him of having a small penis or do I vote for someone who has a vagina and has the tools to nurse a baby in public.? God! Being senator from Alabama is hard.”

Republican Rep. Mo Brooks (AL) said Thursday that Democrats “are in a perplexing position” between appealing to the gay community and "to the Muslim community, which, if it had its way, would kill every homosexual in the United States of America.”

evidently the LGBT community has now become a ‘stock option’…

so typing ‘Christians killing homosexuals’ into the ‘Google’ got me about 1,160,000 results (0.43 seconds).

Here is a story about American Muslims accepting same sex marriage as opposed to Evangelical Christians.

Side-note: Mo Brooks is a Mormon (not judging)

Here is a story about Pat Robertson doing the ‘lord’s work’.

and here is a timeline of LGBT attacks in the US. Unless my eyesight is very lousy, Omar Mateen’s attack was the first such violent act from a practicing Muslim.

Side-note: Uganda

If true, it must be comforting to him that the Alabama Republican Party does not stand alone. On to Gomorrah !

As one of Mo’s constituent’s I proclaim with pride that Mo Brooks is the biggest idiot in congress and challenge the rest of you to prove me wrong (hopefully none of Blake Farenthold’s constituents are reading this).

As to the question above of whether he knows any Muslims, I thought the same thing and then thought “he should!” Brooks represents Huntsville and with its high tech industries has–at least relative to other Southern cities of comparable population–a good size Muslim community that is both reasonably integrated and relatively affluent. Is he talking to his own Muslim constituents? Is he even trying?

Mo, my man, seems to me you’re the one who finds himself in a perplexing position. You’re a congenital flaming asshole, and there’s no known cure.
