Shorter version, it’s an Un-American crock of shit perpetrated by sore losers.

And to be noted not a peep out of the MSM on three nightly newscasts (I checked)
As democracy is subverted by these criminals …
Lead stories …Winter is cold and it snows . Watch these sliding vehicles for the fifth time.
The MSM are the real criminals failing to report these Orwellian maneuvers by a group of people who attempted in every way to fix the election in NC and now they lost will stop at nothing
I am filled with incendiary rage

We have been entering a new age for a while, and we are in it.
Republicans no longer lose elections. If they fall short in the vote, they rig the rules so that the election results don’t matter, or at least matter a hell of a lot less than if they respected the results.
If the Democrats don’t start learning to play the Republicans’ game very soon, we are doomed. That’s assuming we’re not, already.

Indeed - Have we now reached the point when Republicans believe that ANY elected Democrat is simply illegitimate?
Maybe they should put their flags away and stop waving them in our faces - it’s obvious they don’t really believe in democracy.

[/quote]It will be interesting to see how many Republican state legislatures across the country try the same kind of thing when a Governorship goes to the Democrats. Hey, there’s a precedent now.

All of them.

If the Republicans can do this; and for that matter, refuse (for almost a year) to even consider a sitting President’s nomination to the Supreme Court, we might as well tear up the Constitution and call it a day.

That’s it .
I just love how they all have those touchy feely pieces at the end of the broadcasts…
America Strong… Inspiring America… or some such bullshit to take your mind off the fact that we are screwed

Especially when the Republican Clowngress gets the Republican DoJ to go after Democratic states that will do the same thing, issue Republican rulings that it’s bad (when Democrats do it), backed up by the Republican SCOTUS that the Republicans are right.

When the majority is oppressed by a minority, that’s when heads start rolling (literally).

This is not going to end well.

Republicans are going to start provoking violence toward them – and it will be well-deserved.

Some, like CNN, have been particularly bad. The T-Party empowerment can’t be good for the state’s economy. From the NYT,

Under current state law, the governor names five members to the state Elections Board, who in turn appoint the 100 county boards. Thus the governor is able to stack the boards with partisan supporters.

The joke is that the “bipartisan compromise” offered was an 8-member board that changes hands every year, with Democrats in charge in odd years and Republicans in even. I wonder which years we hold elections?

If the citizens of NC allow this to happen, they deserve what they get.

Tell @ncsteve that he deserves it.

Maybe time to crank that boycott of North Carolina back up. The only thing that they understand is when they do something like this and their pocketbook is hit.
