Discussion for article #224319

shame. his daughter looks exactly like him

Golly, another member of the Crypto-Fascist-Fundamentalist crowd gets elected in Oklahoma. IQ drops another 10 points among Oklahoma residents.

Is that even possible? Inhofe handily won his primary as well and he is as dumb as a bag of rotten turnips.

Wonder what sorts of allegations may be coming out of that closet?

Iā€™m going with Craigā€™s List photos, July 15, Washington Post.

Some randy Baptist gals ā€˜witnessingā€™ for Jeebus?

Iā€™ll make sure I donā€™t use up my free articles in the WaPo by thenā€¦

Beat me to it.

Oklahoma is so insanely rightwing, what exactly were the big issue differences between Lankford and the Tea Party guy, who had Palin and Cruz on his side. Wait. Iā€™ll go out on a limb and guess that the Tea Party person simply wasnā€™t Southern Baptist enough, thus practically an atheist. (My husband is from Oklahoma and itā€™s so embarrassing, he doesnā€™t tell people anymore.)

Iā€™m in North Texas but donā€™t know anything about OK politics: where does the Native population fall on the scale?

Tea Party guy is black. This is Oklahoma. Enough said.

Yep, thereā€™s that, but if my husbandā€™s relatives (all Southern Baptist and varying degrees of rightwing) are any indication, they do like the ā€œright kindā€ of black person, in the most patronizing way possible, as in (and this is a direct quote) ā€œhe didnā€™t know he was black.ā€

Oklahoma Indians are by and large as conservative as the white folks. Theyā€™re Baptists, too, ya know!

I find it hard to believe a Black man canā€™t get elected in Oklahoma.

Yeah, something tells me thereā€™s some seriously creepy if not criminal activity in this dudeā€™s past. Anytime that religion, profit, and children intermingle, itā€™s never a good situation.

Louisiana, OMG. My husband says he feels your pain.

Actually, Falls Creek Youth Camp was founded in 1917. Itā€™s a big institution in Oklahoma, and my husband (whoā€™s in his early 70s now) and his sister went there every summer as teenagers. Itā€™s not one of those money-grubbing-TV-preacher-created things, where the TV preacher gets too chummy with the boys.
