You’re absolutely right, jgabriel. Heck, the Dems should name Trump Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. No Dem in the country could possible do as much for the party as Trump has done, is doing and no doubt will continue to do.
Yeah well, sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand—
although I can’t see anybody confusing these princes for Paul Newman.
“If Mo Brooks is going to be stereotyping like that,
why wouldn’t LGBT people say,
the entire Southern Baptism community feels that way,” Stacey said.
“We don’t say that because that would not be true.”
Kinda’ has the same ring to it-- as when ®s use the pejorative Democrat Party – doesn’t it?

The general voting public isn’t buying it. It’s not logical, blaming an entire group of people for the actions of a few.
The choice is clear, chose Democrats that love Muslims more than gay or Republicans who hate gays less than Muslims.
Republicans are like a cargo cult, where they think they can just mimic some surface-level thing that Democrats do and walk away with a smug look thinking they’ve nailed it, and that LGBTs are totally in the tank for the GOP now. Yet they completely miss how insulting this is to the LGBT community, Muslims, and anybody with half a brain who all know full-well what the GOP has been up to for decades in screwing over both of those demographics. “Hey look at my burrito bowl. See, I love Hispanics!”. I’d be angry about it it didn’t come across as so desperate.
Time to watch V for Vendetta again.
Reality may have considered it at one time, but after witnessing them nominate Trump, it’s now consulting its lawyers about whether the distance can be increased to the “cosmological scale”. So lifting it might be a tough sell.
One thing about a persecuted and discriminated group…They are not stupid and have honed their BS instincts to a fine point…Suffering no fools or ignorant liars and bigots…
Which describes these gopbag fools to a ‘T’…

They’re desperate, but not serious (with apologies to Adam Ant.)
Do these Republicans really believe anyone but their crazy base will buy any of this crap?
This shit only works on your Teabagger Asshole base, GOP. Most gay Americans have an IQ above 37 points.
Then neither can Donald.
What this effort really shows is that the Republican Party is “all in” on transferring the national threat from the dead-issue communist menace to the religion of Islam. It has several strategic advantages over the old strategy.
One, Islam won’t disappear on them, the way communism left them high and dry for a campaign issue. And two, they think it’ll have perpetual appeal to their evangelical base.
Their mistake is that their strategy means a Republican-run government is a threat to religion. Clerics beware! Big government? Wait’ll your church has to pass a Republican politician’s litmus test.
Trump Insanity has now officially infected all of them. Lower than whale crap.
I don’t share his faith, but Dr. Moore is a studly “Christian” dude.
I’m cynical about this ruse. Now, that pastor from Arkansas who asked his question of Dr. Moore, yeh, I think he is as serious as a heart attack, a true believer. But the politicians spouting off about the idea that American candidates for the Presidency must choose which American communities they would and would not support --that it’s some kind of kind of zero sum game between the American gay and Muslim communities --are jumping on a tragedy/opportunity in order to divide the American Muslim and gay communities for political gain. It’s a sick ploy and of course, Trump is all over it already. IMHO
GOP message to all white Americans: Be afraid, be very very afraid, and send us money and vote for us.
GOP messages to all non-white, or non Christian Americans: ehhh!
Absolutely.
Nailed it!
The GOP doesn’t care about the LGBT or the Muslim vote. They only care about the mentally deficient voter who actually thinks this tactic makes sense. It includes quite a few dog-whistles, projections and ties it up with a cynical bow, suitable for the Trump identified “supporter”.
Very clever.
Or bait and switch.
