Whether Trump wants this policy or not does not matter. He is doing this to appeal to the GOP base. That is something every single Democrat needs to keep in mind the next time they feel the need to apologize for calling them Deplorable.

Trump swore an oath, even if he denies it, to protect and defend the Constitution.

This is an attack on the Constitution. One of many, if you look back over time.

Past time to get rid of prez Full Diaper or at least stop writing checks for his fantasies and then tie him up in court forever.

There are still a few days before the election, time to re-double our efforts. Re-double because now is the time GOP operatives roll out the big lies to try to sow confusion. Happens every election. Don’t get fooled again.

Contact your local Democratic Party and work to get out the vote. Volunteer at a phone bank or go doorbelling.There is NO better way to exercise Democracy than by going door to door and talking with people. And few things will change a MAGA voter’s opinion of Dems than an offer to get them to the polls.

Go door-to-door getting out the vote. Help people fill out their ballots and get them mailed for states with mail-in ballots. Help drive people to the polls November 6th if necessary. If Democrats control the House they control spending. Trump can rave all he wants but we can stop paying for his fantasies.

I’m not going to count on all signs however. Who knows what Kavannaugh agreed to do when given the seat? And who knows if the other 4 will go along? I no longer trust this court to say that what is in the Constitution is actually what is in the Constitution.

But more importantly is this so let’s just say it pre-midterm blather and blah blah from the guy who’s state fired the first shot in the Civil War.

If Graham is going to propose legislation to amend the Constitution, his bill would need to win over not only two-thirds majorities in Congress, but also be ratified by three-quarters of the states.

AS with all legal issues, there is a difference of opinion and your link clearly states that only a handful of people believe he can do this in the face of the overwhelming majority of legal scholars who disagree.

Let’s not let any of this devolve into a both sides argument. What is being proposed is clearly unconstitutional. There is no gray area.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
