âWhat an impressive crowd: the haves, and the have-mores. Some people call you the elite, I call you my base.â
â Shrubya
Iâm hoping those days are finally coming to an end for the Taliban Rethugliklans. At least, David Humphreys is giving me at least some hope it will come to pass.
âWhile I am personally opposed to abortion, I do support a womanâs right to choose, particularly in the case of rape or incest,â
Perfectly stated. Standing firm in your own personal beliefs, while not imposing them on others,
Does anybody know the status of the âlast clinic standingâ in KC? The judge keeps extending things 2-3 days at a time.
Rachel Maddow had a show last night on the ordering of unnecessary U/S AND how the Illinois clinic on the other side of the river is staffing up.
Itâs been really sad to see how well the right-wing has moved the goal post on the entire abortion debate to only ârape and incestâ.
Except that he framed his entire position to be one of only not imposing those beliefs on ârape and incestâ survivors.
"And I have to believe that the politicians in Jeff City that voted for this bill would themselves support their wives or daughtersâ right to choose if their loved ones were raped.â
This should be for ALL women. NOT just those that have been raped. We need to stop letting the anti-abortionist move the goal post and frame the entire debate.
Guess, I prefer to focus on this statement coming from a GOPâerâŚ
I do support a womanâs right to choose
I look at that as goals posts perhaps moving in a more favorable direction, but thatâs just me.
My feelings as well, my wifeâs too, no woman that I have ever been involved with have had an abortion. If any of our daughters gets in a bad situation and consults with us, I am confident that we will be able to talk her out of it. However not every woman has people close to them with the willingness and means to support them, therefore she should be able to decide by herself what is the best for her, and I have no problem with Medicaid paying for the procedure for those without means.
His position is the same as mine. I am against abortion. BUT itâs not my choice to make.
*I do support a womanâs right to choose, particularly in the case of rape or incest
This implies that he is perfectly fine with anti-abortion laws that have a ârape or incestâ exemption and has been giving money to GOP polticians that advocate for that. Please stop giving these people a benefit of the doubt they clearly do not deserve just to be âniceâ.
I think itâs possible that heâs not against the right to choose as a whole (not just the exceptions) but still gives money to GOP because his priorities are things like tax cuts. I think thereâre many GOP voters like him out there who are socially liberal but donât consider social issues as their priorities.
Yeah?
How about her duty to submit to State-mandated sexual assault before she can get care?
Some people could almost say youâre forcing your beliefs on others. But I wonât.
DO.NOT.BE.FOOLED!!!
âFool me once, shame on ⌠shame on you. Fool me⌠You canât get fooled again!â" GWB
True, but that just means he puts his tax cuts over a womanâs right to choose. Not a real âallyâ.
Also the group he gave money to is only fighting for the rights of ârape and incestâ survivors to choose. Not ALL women. They just want a rape and incest exception clause added.
Iâm not passing a law at you.
Yep, that I agree. Just wanna say we have some opportunities to win these voters.
Georgia is purposing a law where the doctor performing an abortion would be considered to be a murderer and any woman going to another state to have an abortion would be considered to be accessory for murder.
We need donors so women needing abortions can afford to pay for great lawyers.
David Humphreys is the CEO of TAMKO products a company his grandparents started.
David Humphreys is the MO GOP, and his money is what driving most of the legislation in this state.
âLast week we, we got word that a PAC funded primarily by David Humphreys, the megadonor of the Republican Party and billionaire in Missouri, had just rolled over about a quarter of a million dollars from its PAC into the House Republican Campaign Committee,â Rep. Peter Merideth said, reminding everyone that Humphreys spent roughly $17 million in 2016 on campaigns to support Republican candidates and promote his agenda of bringing right-to-work, anti-labor measures and tort reform to Missouri. âWe want to make sure that folks know that the other side is funded primarily by one person.â

Humphreysâs and Sinqufield are the king makers, neither is one is friendly to womenâs issues, workers,or the poor.
Either is the GOP donor. He seems to be trying to undo it.
