Now, why pray tell was the good representative doing staying awake for 24 hours? Certainly he wasn’t working. Nobody works that hard in Congress…we know this. The image with the article makes him look as if he’s nursing a bit of a hangover… praps he was out tippling a few with Mr Boehner?

There’s nothing cataclysmic about a slip of the tongue. It’s good that he could joke about it. Now if he starts making a habit of these malapropisms, then it’s time to review the man’s fitness for office. But I’m not alarmed by a single occurrence, sleep or no sleep. It happens.

Here in the SF Bay area there are a lot of “Joe” restaurants, New, Original, Marin, etc., and one since closed was Westlake Joe’s which offered early bird specials, and in honor of those diners it was called Geriatric Joe’s.

I agree. It’s no worse than Megyn Kelly calling Huckabee “Fuckabee”. It’s an easy enough mistake. His command of the English language, however, is something entirely different. That’s almost Palinesque.
