She’s gonna milk this as much as she possibly can.

This idiot, deranged gunman may have just shifted the election to Handel. Wonderful…

I doubt it. But I agree the man is a deranged idiot.

Well it certainly highlights her statement about livable wage.

“My thoughts are with the victims of this morning’s despicable, unprovoked attack on the Republican congressional softball team."

“…and, of course, on flogging this tragedy for personal political gain.”

Being a GOP’er, I wonder if Ms. Tenney has a “John Miller” of her own to send her emails?

Tenney gets email threat, calls for calmer rhetoric

i am a totally sane person, with no designs on killing or harming anyone, and who thinks such things are abhorrent.

so allow me to put in my two cents on handel: fuck you, you piece of shit. “i don’t support a liveable wage” is just advocating tortuously slow murder, rather than the rapid murder that this nutjob tried to carry out today. you are a horrid human being with, as far as i can tell, very few, if any, redeeming qualities. you are a large bundle of privilege, sloth, avarice, and greed, without a shred of empathy or compassion. fuck you infinity.

She’ll overplay her meager hand and it will result in net zero. This is a fairly wealthy suburban district, yes? Not as much of a gun fetishist area as some.

I’ll go with your optimism that there aren’t a lot of ammosexuals there, but I still think this will be a significant factor in the race.

The run-off election between Handel and Ossoff is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 10.

Better get busy … only negative four days left to contribute!

It’s not often that they actually shoot the messenger.

Pretty much my thoughts.

Ossoff should suggest that they appear together to condemn this incident, gun violence and incivility in politics.

From the New York Times:

Representative Jeff Duncan of South Carolina, who left the practice just before shooting, said later that he had encountered a man in the parking lot — later identified as the gunman — who “asked me if the team practicing was a Democrat or a Republican team.”

Even in a time of national crisis, the Republicans still have to do that stupid “Democrat Party” thing.

Nobody stood up to it. It’s baked in.

Which I doubt the shooter used.

OT, but hilarious—and TPM is all ball game shooting all the time right now.

As Sessions repeatedly refused on Tuesday to answer senators’ questions regarding conversations he had with President Donald Trump, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee showed a woeful misunderstanding of the duties of the Justice Department.

“Dems act like they never heard of atty/client privilege; AG is top atty in Exec branch; serves @POTUS and not stooge of Congress,” he wrote on Twitter.

Joy Reid’s pithy response:

The attorney general is not the president’s lawyer. The White House counsel is who represents the White House. Buy a civics book. https://twitter.com/GovMikeHuckabee/status/874719159585841152

There was a shooting today in San Francisco at the very big UPS facility here. I see no indications from members of Congress that thoughts and prayers are coming this way.

Dana Milbanks takes down the elf. Makes you think if he has so little recall he should go into retirement ASAP.
