Can the Feds deny it? As the Conservatives are always bleating, you need to make an example of someone!
In response to another question about funding government, Bentley said
he expects a lottery to be proposed in the Legislature and said that
“might” be something in his long-term plans.
Wait, what??? You’re telling me that a state in one of the richest nations in the world is resorting to relying on lottery revenue to fund the AL government??? My mind is reeling at that.
All because they WON’T raise taxes. If the poor whites and ni[CLANGS} don’t have health care, so what. Their problem not the State’s. Let them go elsewhere and leave the “good” people alone.
I just can’t wrap my mind around how completely barbaric that is.
I guess he is tired of being the Governor.
Can’t Alabama just use the abundance of federal assistance that they receive to cover the costs? From the site I was looking at Alabama and its residents receive $51 billion in federal funding/assistance/contracts for the $19 billion they pay in taxes. If they are fiscally conservative they should be able to wring enough out of the $30 billion to pay their portion of the Medicaid expansion.
Lazy Takers
Half of the Party wants to get rid of Obamacare, roots and all…and the other half (Governors) want/need to participate. Governors need to be serious whereas Senators and Congressmen get to demagogue the issue.
Sooner or later, they will all join the program.
As I’ve often written when Obama is out of the White House 42 states will expand Medicare, they just don’t want to give him credit and are willing to let people die rather than give O a victory
