Discussion: Glenn Greenwald Thinks Megyn Kelly Is 'Viscerally Repellent,' But Better Than Most At Fox

Yes, MSNBC’s acceptance of blatant idiocy on the left side (example…?) is EXACTLY the same as Fox’s annual War on Christmas tripe they trot out every year. Santa was white, verifiable fact! The equivalent on MSNBC is… what? Anybody?

There is no story of sufficient importance for Glenn Greenwald. The truth crumbles before his exacting criticism. When Greenwald strokes his pen, only the most factual of opinions spurts out. He’s the Chuck Norris of journalism.

Nor would he care for her to do so, since he’s gay.

Funny, but my kids, (late 20’s and early 30’s) and their friends, who are pretty politically savvy, call Glenn Greenwald, “That right wing guy who’s always whining?”

Most put him in the same category as Glenn Beck.

And anyone who strays outside Democratic party talking points, speaking independently, will be attacked by authoritarian Democrats like yourself.

Thank you for expressing the official position of the Democratic party so clearly.

Another cheap and poorly written hit piece on Greenwald from TPM.

YAWN.

I have a feeling you are simply making shit up.

Yes, clearly anyone who in anyway questions the undeniable truth that each and every word spoken by the Great and Infallible Glenn Greenwald is the entire, complete, undeniable, absolute, unvarnished truth is an authoritarian. By questioning whether every single word spoken or written by Glenn Greenwald is the absolute truth, I am attempting to impose absolute uniformity of opinion and therefore authoritarian!

Honestly, do you people ever listen to yourselves?

Honestly, do you people ever listen to yourselves?

When you live in the echo chamber, that’s all you hear.

Yup. That’s pretty much the point of this hit piece. Make some kind of lame association between Fox an GG, and simply sit back and watch the fireworks. It’s pretty transparent.

Sounds like your kids are as misinformed as you are. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

What’s illuminating was his need to dive into the comments to go after a commenter who dared take issue with him. It was that very tendency of his in his Salon days, that is, his tendency to dive into long, multi-hundred comment threads and heap the most caustic, scornful, and often quite personal, derision upon commenters who took issue with him factually–not ideologically, but factually–that began my process of being majorly turned off by him. It was a deeply unpleasant kind of bullying, given the disparity of position, combined with a suspiciously hysterical degree of defensiveness that made me realize you needed to scrutinize what he said, and what his sources were, very carefully.

Oh, that and the fawning, subservient pack of devoted fans who, without the slightest evidence of self-awareness, would (and still do) attack Obama supporters as “cultists.”

Yes, he has often been right, both on big things and little and he has brought important matters into mainstream discourse that never would have gotten there without him. All credit due him is due and all honor for his contribution. But the consistency with which he turns nasty and personal whenever anyone undertakes to subject his work to critical scrutiny in even the smallest particular is telling.

Good God. Talk about a completely twisted interpretation of what Greenwald said.

But that’s the entire point of this stupid article, isn’t it? As a launching point for similar nonsense.

BTW, who won the sunrise duel?

Thou dost project too much, Methinks.

Himself.

Nah…if your kids think GG is right-wing, they are either colossally stupid or are being fed garbage information.

Name ONE “right-wing” belief espoused by Glenn Greenwald. ONE.

No, they just followed his support of Bush, Citizen’s United and his opposition to gun control, AND… “his my way or the highway” Bush/tea people mentality.

As Saul Alinsky said,
"One of the most important things in life is what Judge Learned Hand
described as ‘that ever-gnawing inner doubt as to whether you’re right.’ If you don’t have that, if you think you’ve got an inside track to absolute truth, you become doctrinaire, humorless and intellectually constipated. The greatest crimes in history have been perpetrated by such religious and political and racial fanatics, from the persecutions of the Inquisition on down to the Communist purges and Nazi genocide. “
You seem to be lacking that “inner doubt”, but calling people who disagree with you “stupid” will strengthen your argument.

Yes, Greenwald is totally a Bush “supporter”. ( Now’s the part where you dredge up something from 2005 - Doremus can help you, he has it all bookmarked)

I guess I’ll go with “being fed garbage information”
