Dear Rudy,
Thanks for making my point. White police officers overrun black neighborhoods looking for crime with a microscope. And when a trivial violation is found–like jaywalking on a street where the only vehicle is a cop vehicle–it is escalated out of proportion.
The classic definition of a police state is when trivial violations are escalated. Now we, the white community, wouldn’t stand for that sort of thing in our predominantly white neighborhoods and I find no reason we need to stand for it in minority neighborhoods.
Taxpayers, even the white ones like myself, expect police to de-escalate situations and not escalate them to the point of gun violence that results in death. This is exactly what happened and I don’t pay for that sort of nonsense.
And just tell me the last time jaywalking in my predominantly white neighborhood was given the slightest bit of attention–that’s right, never.
This policeman was not responding to an event. He created the event and ended up killing an unarmed black teenager. This is not what we expect of our police officers.

OK, so he is a racist motherfucker along with all of his other issues. Now let’s ignore him and don’t ever look at that asshole as anything other than a self absorbed racist who also has a fidelity problem and a parenthood problem. This guy is a total loser and just because NBC puts him on the air doesn’t mean he is a person worth spending a moment looking at, much less listening to.

I think the point is that 93% of blacks who are are killed are killed by other blacks.
The other 7% of blacks killed are killed by police officers.

Gun owners dont “need” the NRA at all. The firearms industry and their profits from gun and ammo sales surely do though.
And John McCain holds the record for most invitations to appear on Meet the Press. And they invited him immediately after he lost to Obama in 2008. The Sunday talk shows are simply thinly disguised GOP shills. Cruz, McCain, and Graham are their heroes.

Worse yet, the poor editing and complete failure of oversight oddly seems to appear in articles or paragraphs which lean more towards helping the GOP. By that I mean there are misquotes or quotes out of context which, if not corrected, give the GOP much more slack than if the quotes were correct in the first place. And then there is the complete lack of accountability. See any of Sahil Kapur’s articles for that.

police officers are incapable of de-escalation. i work in a trauma hospital, and I always keep my patients away from the police presence. the police officers routinely screw everything up by being offensive, instagatory and in general major assholes. the solution was simple, trim the fat.

Yeah, but that was days ago and the NYPD has already admitted that it was a “terrible accident”. In fact, I imagine that’s part of the backstory on why Giuliani was on MTP.

It’s a sad commentary on our society that these things happen at all. It’s an even sadder commentary that they happen as regular as clockwork. And saddest of all is the acceptance that this is the way things have to be.
In 1856, John Greenleaf Whittier wrote a maudlin verse entitled Maud Muller whose overarching theme is summed up in the couplet:

What we saw in the video is the Guiliani that allowed the NYPD to run rampant over people’s rights- especially if those people were Black or Brown.

BTW, this guy must not be running for President again in 2016. He just blamed Black people for police like Darren Wilson having to come into their neighborhoods and shoot them.
Giuliani has been and always will be a dick. This is the guy that left his wife, and she found out when she saw the story on HER newscast. The man hired and supported ex-con Bernard Kerik, who conspired with an ex-judge-turned Fox personality to illegally record her husband’s affair on their boat.
Let’s not forget Rudy’s failures that led to the deaths of FDNY and NYPD personnel because he ignored warnings that the departments were using radio systems that were not compatible. Giuliani was a good Federal Prosecutor, and a lousy, confrontational mayor that wasted NYC tax dollars on lawsuits. Giuliani tried to be what Republicans claim Obama is- a dictator.

Well Mr Giuliani judging by your words you seem to believe that black Americans are a thorn in your side.
Let me give you a little joe six pack style history lesson.
It was “white” folks that went to a foreign country and literally kidnapped black man woman and children so that they could be used for free labor . Not much has changed there today you use mexican laborer for cheap labor so the mentality is the same.
But back to my point. To be making a statement like ‘White Police Officers Won’t Be There’ If Blacks ‘Weren’t Killing Each Other’ well coming form a hispanic who has black relatives whom I love dearly and and couldn’t imagine my life with out them , those “white” men brought them used them,they got educated and now you hate them just like those, you no,Mescans.

Giuliani"s father did time for armed robbery and had mob ties. Crimes all within the same ethnic group.
His daughter was picked up for shop lifting cosmetics at Sephora. Should either of them have been shot down in the street?
