Discussion: Giuliani: Trump Fired Comey Because He Wouldn't Let Him Off The Hook In Probe

Did Rudy invent ‘Ready…Fire!..Aim’?

Could the answer be “9/11?”

Giuliani’s last 24 hours have been absolutely unhinged. Seems evident that there is not a grand plan and that he’s out there flailing, as someone said, in an attempt to worm his way back into the Trump Inner Circle.

Looks like an admission of guilt to me, and makes no sense.

I think the answer is probably “911”. They really need someone competent to put out this flaming emergency.

I was going to say that Giuliani is pulling everything he says out of his ass but I was afraid that mental image would drive too many people to commit ritual suicide.

Stable Genius is already preparing the grounds for the appeal of his criminal conviction.

Ineffective assistance of counsel is a claim raised by a convicted criminal defendant where the innocent defendant’s legal counsel performed so ineffectively that it deprived the defendant of the constitutional right guaranteed by the Assistance of Counsel Clause of the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution

So when does Emmet Flood say these guys are nuts and peace out?

Can this defense be used when Giuliani has never represented Trump in a court of law, and has not even stated that he is going to represent Trump in a criminal case?

About 3 weeks ago last Thursday, if he had any damned sense.

Do they come in Extra-Large?

Okay, seriously, this is all a lot of fun, but holy fuck, this is just a really damning admission. Not one Trump can’t walk back with a “I totally disagree with my lawyer, he was flat wrong,” but when your lawyer the form Super U.S. Attorney admits you obstructed justice, it’s not good.

I can reconstruct the logic: the idea he was probably trying to convey is that since Trump believed himself to be totally innocent, Comey’s refusal to tell everyone he was totally innocent was a reason for firing Comey that, while invasive of the DoJ and FBI’s independence and a decision tending to degrade the rule of law, was not obstruction of justice. But when your new defense depends upon executing a high wire walk over Niagara Falls, you’re in trouble even if your lawyer is one of the Wallendas. Which Rudy is not.

With Giuliani showing his incredible, almost fantastical incompetence over the past 24 hours, I am truly amazed that there is anything left standing in New York City after 9/11.

OMG, Giuliani. Shut up. Actually, don’t. You’re doing just fine.

No. This is the real Giuliani. He has been this way since he left office. He was only a slightly concealed version of this before he left office. Never forget that there was a primary going on in New York on the actual 9/11. It was cancelled. Giuliani also announced that he was cancelling the November election for a new mayor. No one was capable of replacing him at that time in his mind.

I have a feeling that when Giuliani was a kid walking down the sidewalks of NY, he would purposely step on the cracks to break his mother’s back.

That’s a new one. I like it.
