Giuliani has made similar statements in the past. He has become a lightning rod during his tenure on Trump’s team, drawing the president’s ire for a series of scattershot interviews.
Really ? ‘Drawing the president’s ire’ ? You must be joking ?
What is he doing in Israel ?
He also said Kim Jong Un begged for the summit to happen “on his hands and knees.” If Kim wants to pull the rug out that’s a perfect excuse. Rudy, man. He’s a piece of work.
“They have revealed no evidence that President Trump has done anything wrong,” he added. “None.”
Until they do. And then, game over.
Those indictments didn’t come out of thin air. And the folks who’ve been indicted are going to try to save their butts if they’re smart (and admittedly, they all aren’t smart). When the ding-dong of Doom descends, this tune will change.
I’m waiting patiently. For a little longer.
I think Miss Rudy and Tweety himself are trying harder to frame him than Mueller. All the SCs office has to do is sit back and collect tweets and television interviews.
It’s almost as if they don’t understand the concept of country above party at all. /s
His team, which included his son and son in law met with the Russians, in Trump Tower, for the sole purpose of getting dirt on the Clinton campaign from the Russians to affect an Election of the President of the United States.
Then trump dictates a lie to the press about it and claimed the dictation was his son’s words.
This. Is. Collusion.
Mueller has the proof. He’s just being thorough.
“There’s absolutely no evidence uncovered or truth behind rumors that Donald Trump’s team had improper foreign contacts”, Donald Trump’s lawyer says at a foreign conference.
Interesting choice of optics, Rudy.
“The law of the United States is that the president of the United States has unlimited, unreviewable power to pardon people from federal crimes even before they are convicted.”
“For example,” he continued, “the president could indefinitely detain members of Congress; arrest Supreme Court justices; put Muslims and Latinos in concentration camps; execute Mueller and Comey; and name himself President For Life – all without criminal consequence – just by pardoning himself.”
“Hypothetically speaking, of course…”
The job description for any position at the WH or working for Donnie in any capacity includes this question: “Are you really, really, really unhinged?? Explain your history of lunacy”
Rudy seems awfully convinced that prosecutors routinely frame innocent people. You might even say he seems awfully familiar with the concept. I think someone needs to ask Rudy how many people he framed when he was a prosecutor.
“There are a group of 13 highly partisan Democrats who make up the Mueller team, excluding him, and are trying very, very hard to frame him…"
Giuliani is accusing members of Mueller's team of a criminal act. Does the bar have some sort of code addressing the unfounded accusations of criminal acts by an investigative team?
Not really. You can’t attack judges and prosecutors are subject to meaningful strictures, but defense attorneys can do whatever they want if they don’t fear a slander or libel claim. (And accusing someone with a crime is defamation per se. Frankly, I don’t think this comment passes the NYT v. Sullivan test, but Giuliani knows he’s not going to get sued.)
Need to state my daily “GFY, Rudy.”
So Rudy could accuse Mueller of diverting Special Counsel funding for the purchase of child porn and suffer no consequences? The New York Bar would say “Rudy’s good with us!”?
Something is amiss with Giuliani. My speculation…
He’s saying these things for Trump’s benefit, to appease Trump, perhaps, to keep Trump from taking Mueller out…
Trump wants a fight and without seeing his cause being fought for, however stupidly, so might the point of Rudy’s comments be to keep him from doing the fighting himself by taking Mueller out.
Can’t you just see Trump spouting to a friend on the phone… “did you hear what Rudy said?” and finding satisfaction in that?
Rudy isn’t stupid. He’s familiar with the law and he must know what the end game is here…
His over the top comments keep Mueller in the game. Odds are that R and M have an explicit agreement about his role…
Tell me how this doesn’t make sense…
Of choice it does. The effing SOB should be disbarred.
Clowning around as usual.
For example:
Have we Americans never interfered with elections outside the US? Of course we have. We do it to disseminate democratic values - everyone tried to interfere in elections.
Rudy is PP’s TV lawyer where he’s bound to get coverage. His real lawyer Emmett Flood is behaving like one and not taking his case to the airwaves.
