According the FBI, 83 percent of white homicide victims were killed by white people in 2011.

From 1976 through 1997, 85 percent of white murder victims were killed by whites.

Will someone here walk me through the mental process that brings racists to this talking point? I don’t understand why this is something they mention at all when we’re talking about police misconduct. How is it relevant?

I’m serious – does someone here know the subtext? The people who bring this up are always racist and they always think it’s relevant in contexts like these. Why??

Blacks spend 70 percent of their time killing other blacks? Hmmm, I’d like a citation on that statistic. Merely sleeping 7-8 hours a day would render that impossible, and even if that’s close it means all black people do is sleep and kill each other.

The majority of all crime in this country - violent crime, economic crime, etc. - is committed by white Christian males.
