Wishful thinking.
Compared to nuclear war, a political disaster sounds bucolic.

Next agenda item - tax reform. Ran across two great articles that are not directly related - but complement each other. Graphic (and explanation) of how the economy broke and by the 80s income inequality takes off (from the NYT). The other looks at the stark reality of contemporary Reaganomics - with the Kansas Brownback implosion. The later is longform - but well worth the read. Just wanted to share - and hope others find them interesting enough to share as well. Consider it arming up a little more for the next debate.

"…It was a collective failure.” I think we have just found the definitive description of the Trump “Administration.”
Not really. Because Dump already has disassociated himself, and he’s waiting for the rest of us to catch up.
Whether the Faux News crowd will is only a matter of when, not if.
Don’t send him to Rome.
Thank you.
Trump: ObamaCare repeal lies with McConnell, McCain, Alaska, Maine and other losers. They all love drug addiction and high premiums.
Get thee to the Vatican and don’t come back!
c’mon, this repube fuck up occurred when they refused to work with Dems during the crafting of the ACA, they had their chance then, poisoned the well to such a degree that now they can’t actually govern in any meaningful way (i.e. amend ACA) without acknowledging the depths of hypocrisy which is the basis for the entire existence of their party
if I looked up “shit the bed” in the dictionary, this would almost certainly be associated with it as an example
Switch Calista’s “ambassadoring” to Guam.
Perfect!
Yeah, but he blamed Democrats for not wanting to strip healthcare from millions to fund tax breaks for zillionaires.
Ok, so the only people who give a shit about the 1% ARE the 1%. And making the 1% happy (richer) is what drives the GOP’s political agenda. And the GOP are currently the majority party in the house and senate. And the POS POTUS is a GOP .0001%er.
Either we have a gazillion brain dead registered voters in this country, or I’m missing something.
Wouldn’t have been Newt if he hadn’t blamed the Democrats, though.
You seem to be missing the part about how the voters didn’t elect Trump. We elected Hillary.
Congress is gerrymandered. Every single election since '04, more votes have been cast for Democratic candidates than GOP but the GOP has rigged the maps.
That’s a bit comforting in that the majority of US voters are still sane. But it still doesn’t account for millions and millions and millions of yo-yos voting for the 1% and against themselves. That’s an awful lot of stupid.
Excellent idea!!
“To get involved in shooting at each other when there were 16 Democrats voting ‘no’ for every single Republican who voted ‘no’ is goofy. I say it is goofy,” Gingrich said.
By the same metric there were an infinite number of Republicans voting “No” for every single Democrat who voted “No” on the ACA. I wonder if Gingrich thinks that is goofy.
I actually don’t know if we have an ambassador to a US territory but am more than willing to establish a first for the Gingrich family.
He’s right but who gives a shit what Gingrich thinks?
