Moon President Gingrich really should stay out of terrestrial politics.
If there is an open convention (there hasnât been one since 1960), I put the odds of the Talibunny being the nominee at 6/5.
Repigs LOVE her and not just because they love stupid presidents.
âŚwhen was the last time the Newt said anything relevant âexcept to Fox news?
Wonder how Colter and Hannity feel about Mittâs filing FEC papers to run?
Geez! Newt meant his vitriol and nastiness in a nice wayâŚ
[quote=âPluckyInKY, post:19, topic:34134, full:trueâ]So the focus would be stopping the bleeding and starting the work of moving the party in a different direction for the future.

Umm⌠what direction would that be?
Every single one of the candidates has deranged ideas on every aspect of policy: economic, foreign, you name it. Trumpâs principal offense is saying plainly what Republicans are used to saying only in private, and are careful to dog-whistle in public.
The strategy document produced after the 2012 loss is a dead-letter. Rubio had a passing fling with it a few years ago, but that is ancient history.
Any convention-brokered candidate is going to be chosen from the same lot of dyed-in-the-wool craziness.
We are at least a couple more election cycles from any effort to move the party in a different direction, if then.
Any responsible, realistic statesmen was purged long ago. The best they have in that vein is the likes of John McCain â but been there, done that, and the only reason he is still around (instead of being run out of the party as a RINO) is his very long tenure in politics.
âLook, I think if Mitt had really wanted to maneuver for the nomination, he wouldnât have given the speech he gave last week,â
ââŚSo pick me!!!â
âŚsaid Gingrich
Actually, this is really all Bill Clintonâs fault for making Newt sit in the back of Air Force One.
Iâm not even RepublicanâŚand, yet, would have a major problem with him just waltzing in there without having done any of the hard work of campaigningâŚand stealing the nomination.
And Iâm very certain the base would go apeshit.
Or push Bloomberg to.
McCain actually makes sense if they pick somebody to fall on their sword.
Gingrich â another short-fingered vulgarian.
Kristol, what a waste of oxygen!
