So far no one rocks my boat. Is that even a phrase? Not sure. Anyhow…I want someone with a broad base of support. I suppose that takes time to build but it would be nice if that person started out with a modicum of one to begin with…NY could be considered broad and its already a democratic stronghold but ffs the people from NY always have to rely on Wall Street money and some there have this idea that they’re the center of the fucking universe. I know, I shouldn’t have said that. I’m talking out loud while I type, and I know I’ll catch hell for saying that…but really, I feel crummy today about politics in general today. I did wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and unfortunately its stayed with me all day. Hopefully, I’ll be more reasonable tomorrow.
Edit to add: Finally figured it out…its not “no one rocks my boat” its “no one floats my boat”. Boy, am I tired. Just couldn’t let that go.

That’s another thing that bothers me. My concern is her platform, connections, voting record, etc. Heck, being the candidate who voted the least with Trump is already a huge plus
You can have a great platform and not be elected.
Effective communication beats platform superiority every day of the week, especially Tuesdays.

Gillibrand is like Mary Tyler Moore to me. She’s “got spunk”. As far as her issues, I only know she’s been big on veterans issues and the sex abuse and harassment issues in the workplace in the last couple of years. Anyone know if she’s championed any other major issues while she’s been in office? Maybe I haven’t been paying enough attention.

I expect reaction is similar elsewhere to what we see here.
Yep. Franken was an extremely hard-working and effective liberal Senator and got screwed, and Gillibrand was a big part of that. My only regret is that I don’t live in NY and can’t vote against her in the primary.
