Discussion: Gergen: You Have To Give Laura Ingraham A Chance If She's WH Spox (VIDEO)

Isn’t this literally true? If Trump wants this toxic woman as his press secretary she will be his press secretary no matter what anyone else thinks of it. We have no say or choice in this decision.

Surely we’ve all figured this out by now: The new Trump Admin could not care less what any of use thinks about any of these decisions. They will appoint who they please and govern as they please. Bush did this to a large extent and they will be even more so.

Is anyone talking about Rush?

Well, Gergen is right that Trump can hire her or anyone he wants into that position, and a bunch of liberals or even media squawking about that isn’t going to change anything, especially when adoring fans will applaud the move. I think the press has bigger fish to fry than what will be seen as the librul left-leaning MSM whining about who they have to work with in the future.

All they have to do if she’s the WH spokesperson is their job.

I heard Gergen a couple of days ago on, I think, CNN, He was stuttering and sputtering as he usually does when he is trying very hard to sound important and necessary. The message I “heard” from his thinkspeak was, “I am ready to mend fences and become an important part of a Republican administration, just like in the past.” Of course he will normalize Ingraham or anyone else who will recognize his essential wonderfulness.

She would be a better fit as chief apologist for Takata Air Bags, Inc.

Be careful what you wish for…

I would love to see her DNA profile. She may not be as Aryan as we are led to believe.

Why give her a chance? She’s a known quantity. This notion that we should hold our breath and hope for a pivot is an insult to anyone with a glimmer of intelligence. We’re in for a shambling, disorganized and dyspeptic presidency run by a bunch of “C” team has-beens and hangers-on.

“I think as Hillary Clinton has said, you have to give people a chance. The president deserves that. The president has a right and it’s a tradition the president can ask those he wants to sort of have near him and the public can make their decisions after.”

Fuck that and fuck you. You don’t get to run a campaign that flouts every tradition and nicety of American politics and then try and hide behind those same traditions when they are to your benefit.

Sadly, he does.

This is so much like a continuation of his campaign: a firehose of shit. Anytime the media or the people start to focus on one appalling transgression or criminality or ineptitude it just gets swiveled in that direction.

Republicans fought President Obama from the day he was elected, through today. Look where it got them.
Every day we give the Trump administration “a chance” is the loss of a precious day in the fight.
