“We want to be a peaceful city,” Rossville Mayor Teddy Harris said
during a council meeting. “We don’t want to have any protesters.”
Then I’m sure you’ve considered options for helping women of childbearing age avoid unwanted pregnancy. No, it’s Georgia. You probably haven’t done that at all.

I might be going out on a limb here, but my guess this guy has no idea that women’s health clinics provide for women’s health care needs of which abortion is only one small part. These clinics do not exist to cause guys like him personal trouble and inconvenience, but to address serious health care concerns of half his constituents.

“The town council in Rossville, Ga. on Monday voted to ban abortion
clinics because the mayor was worried about the “drama” one would bring
to the city, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press.”
Gee,they could eliminate Little League and avoid yelling at the umpire. How about ending high school football thereby eliminating any injury to the young men who play it. Stop people driving to eliminate accidents. And of course no smoking. Close all the restaurants cuz overeating is bad…very very bad (wags finger). Lastly abortion clinics that also provide health care for women of not so much means. Can’t have them have decent health care ya know. What will they demand next?
They could ban thinking for one’s self

Sort of a pre-emptive heckler’s veto, and not dissimilar to preventive detention.
Yeah, but it’s hard to be an extremist when you’re reasonable and “Abortion Clinic” has such a nice ring to it. Besides, since when have women’s private health concerns not been the perview of male leaders?
