Naw. He’ll go to his fallback “Polls are rigged. They lie. FAKE POLLS.”
That is what I believe, too, completely. I just want to see it get started.
Bear in mind that Trump supporters (a) profess to disapprove of him, and (b) turn out to vote for him. But hopefully it will force Democratic officials to get their calculators out again and recalculate their current strategy to normalize the Trump regime.
Although on second thoughts, it will probably embolden them to stay their current passive course in the hope that the polling holds up at the midterms. We know how that’s going to go.
Meanwhile I’m looking forward to attending the open forum to be held tomorrow by New York State Senator Alcántraz, who this week announced that she will join the Independent Democratic Conference, i.e., caucus with the GOP. I’m hoping for a full and frank exchange of views involving the words “collaborator” and “traitor”
Trump claimed he knew how to stop terrorism so I doubt the public will rally behind him. Plus, Trump will need to give a speech. When he tries to comfort the nation by talking about himself and how his inauguration was the most watched of all time he will turn off more people.
Wonder what week 2 holds? At some point he will be as popular as congress.
Let’s all realize that the man is so unpopular that if we are attacked, I expect people to physically attack the White House in retaliation.
He is hated by the entire country but for 26% of the electorate which is a small number just like he is a small man.
I recall Bush being unpopular until 911. Maybe I’m misremembering.
And I remember when W got elected, ghost.
I’m sure you do. Is there any comparison? He went into office with an approval rating way up there.
Donnie Boy is getting seared on the reality grill! Put on more coals!!
You can bet his minions are busily insuring properties for 10-20 times their value. I wonder how many insurance companies would be greedy enough to take that bet. Oh, wait.
Totally agree on this. Rump’s insane klown posse thinks any terrorist attack would produce the same reaction as 2002-3 when the Bush maladministration ruled this country pretty much with an iron fist.
Those days are over. Ryan must be working behind the scenes to get as much crazy legislation pushed as quickly as possible before impeachment becomes unavoidable. I mean, Pres. Pence will still approve stuff but after Rump, things will get real rough for the GOP.
For the first time, I’m thinking maybe, just maybe, the Dems can walk away from the '18 midterms without too much carnage.

FAKE POLLS
[/quote] LOL Ikr? Lord, and his followers will believe that too though his bigly numbers of blind faith followers he is counting on are starting to change a wee bit. Guess it will not be a dramatic veer away from their faith in him until they are truly kicked in the teeth. I tend to think that will be a major financial loss to them personally because of one of his big changes that will wake their butts up…
So W was not as unpopular as Trump at the outset, but yeah, his popularity obviously spiked with 9/11…and then began a long, slow slide. Trump has a good head start in the race for lowest approval ratings, but hopefully we won’t give him a full 8 years to get there.
Hell, we’re still waiting for him to eliminate ISIS on day one. When is that anyway?
If they delay impeachment long enough it could be President Pelosi in 2019.
In the first place - thank god for W. The country has been through this and saw what happens when an idiot responds to an attack - we invaded a different country.
W screwed so many pooches for the GOP that I really can’t understand why the majority which is already beyond furious about Trump would rally around him when that majority is totally aware of how unsuited he is for where he is.
Apparently State will be confirming (or not) shortly n
O my god - that’s actually funny.
And man the bellows!
None. Though I remember big protest marches around the buildup to the Iraq invasion.
