Discussion: Gaetz Enraged By Ryan’s Break On ‘Spygate,’ Suggests Need For New Leader

Maybe I’m just too much of a fan and the product of a media generation, but I am the only one to see a resemblance here?

Another GOP mediocrity who forgot that he took an oath to defend The US Constitution, not a shyster NYC real estate developer and celebrity-tv con man. Sad.

Gaetz is a curious figure to me. He’s a first term Congressman, just turned 36 and in office for little more than a year. Yet he’s everywhere spewing pronouncements about how things need to be done, the people he deems fit to do it, fingering traitors in our midst, etc. It’s like the newbie mail room clerk at Microsoft calling out Bill Gates for being an incompetent businessman and demanding changes in the boardroom.

WTF?

Gaetz, along with being a drunk driving asshole, is a delusionally ambitious man. He and Meadows and the rest of the HFC have been trying to oust Ryan and McCarthy since Ryan announced retirement. He thinks that this, along with the coming immigration fight, might be enough to do it. And, judging by Ryan’s usually cringing posture, he may be right.

And I always thought Norte Dame was a mediocre college in Indiana attached to a football program.

we need a speaker to be an institutionalist for the Congress not to be a defender of the deep state

Gaetz finds shiny word, jams it into a sentence…

…and then returns to Palinesque babble.

“Today for the first time I was hearing colleagues saying, you know, ‘If Speaker Ryan won’t stand with us in this fight over the essentials of our democracy, not weaponizing an intelligence community about a presidential campaign, you know, do we need to look at other choices?’” he said. “So, you know, I think that remains a lingering question and you’re starting to see more frustrations bubble to the top because we need that leadership.”

Good luck finding “leadership ability” amongst the Trumpenproletariat or the schlubs in the “Freedom Caucus.” Y’all chuds can’t even order pizza without Uncle Rafael-Ted comin’ over from the Senate Chamber to babysit y’all.

Well, he’s a nut and a substance abuser and a media whore, but to really aspire to the title of Florida Man he has to get caught molesting an anaconda or something. I can’t wait.

Agree

One of the people in that photograph is a fat, slimy, horrifyingly ugly monster who looks like his mother mated with a member of the Trump family.
The other person isn’t wearing a tie.

THAT’s not the picture of a craven politician.

No, not that man.

Someone ‘shop a monocle and a nazi stormtrooper uni on him and I’m pretty sure it would look thoroughly natural.

“a theory fueled by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) and other reactionary fifth-columnists like Gaetz.”

They could use a new style editor.
